Industry Veteran Sets Sights on Global Boutique Fitness Market
Xponential Fitness, a leading franchisor of boutique fitness franchises, announced Bob Kaufman president of international. With this role, he will leverage his 25 years of experience to spearhead international expansion across the franchisor’s brands. The position comes as Xponential Fitness announces multi-brand deals in new and existing international markets. Franchises under the Xponential Fitness umbrella include AKT, BFT, Club Pilates, CycleBar, Pure Barre, Row House, StretchLab, STRIDE Fitness, YogaSix, and Rumble.
“I am a fan of Xponential’s concepts, and these brands have and can travel. We already have an impressive international footprint, and we are just getting started. I am excited to further grow in the international markets that we currently are in, and I am excited to take the Xponential brands to more markets,” Kaufman said.

Franchising and International Expansion
Kaufman held leadership roles with Tower Records, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Mathnasium prior to joining Xponential. He is passionate about great brands and concepts.
“I love that franchising is the unity of concepts and business owners who are the bridge to the greater community,” he said. Kaufman urges franchisee candidates to be engaged in the business, commit the time and energy to it, and trust the system.
Kaufman believes franchisors need to know the essence of their brand and concept before expanding internationally. He noted that franchisors should also be willing to embrace local customs and cultures while staying true to the core concept.
