Sattler Joins the Mobile Flooring Franchise Amid Explosive Growth

Floor Coverings International, a leading mobile flooring franchise, has named Wes Sattler senior director of franchise development. He has spent 24 years in franchise development and joins the mobile flooring brand as it expands across North America.

“Floor Coverings International’s culture and reputation are unparalleled in the franchise industry,” Sattler said. “I was instantly drawn to the franchise model and support they provide, and the fact that their franchisees are truly valued as operational partners. As the brand continues its national expansion, I look forward to playing a critical role in helping achieve our ambitious growth goals.”

Sattler said he discovered Floor Coverings International when a recruiter friend suggested he look into franchise concepts following the sale of his family’s business, Cleveland Tank & Supply. “I truly had no idea what the world of franchising was at that point,” Sattler recalled. “I’ve come to highly regard the leg up that franchising provides to entrepreneurs. Having lived through the realities of running a business on your own, I firmly believe franchising is the best platform for most entrepreneurs.”

He said he is especially excited to help corporate refugees take control of their lives by investing in Floor Coverings International. “I can fully appreciate what it takes to run a business on your own,” Sattler said. “In franchise development, I get to help people realize their dreams while avoiding the pitfalls most independent business owners have to deal with.”

Tom Wood, president and CEO of Floor Coverings International, said he looks forward to seeing Sattler take on this challenge. “This year, we’ve prioritized growth, both internally and externally,” Wood said. “We are building out a team of dedicated leaders who work tirelessly to support our brand and our franchisees. We are thrilled to have Wes at the helm of our franchise development efforts, and we’re confident that his leadership will bring us even closer to achieving our goals.”

A Career in Franchise Development

Over the course of his career, Sattler has led franchise development for USA Insulation, HealthSource Chiropractic, Strategic Franchising Systems and Fresh Coat. After working in manufacturing, health care and automotive industries, Sattler said home services is his top opportunity choice. “Home services puts you in control of how well your business does, with minimal manpower and overhead, and in industries that won’t go away with technology.”

He advises franchise candidates to seek business models and brands they are passionate about and ask themselves what jobs they would be creating for their communities, whether they would wear the brand’s logo in the community with pride, and whether the franchisor shares their values.
