Tarr will Oversee the Development of the Corporate Franchisor’s Senior Care Brands

Best Life Brands, a franchisor of homecare, senior placement, and estate sales franchises, announced David Tarr as vice president of franchise development. In this new role, Tarr will oversee the development of several senior care brands including ComForCare, CarePatrol, and Boost Home Healthcare. Tarr was recently the brand manager for St. Gregory Development Group and director of franchise development for LIME Painting, a franchise partner with REP’M Group.

“I have a deep appreciation for Best Life Brand’s mission to serve seniors and their families on the continuum of care and look forward to growing the portfolio. Joining a multi-brand franchise company that continues to evolve is exciting. I look forward to helping recruit, select and qualify even more new franchisees across all our brands, while working with the Best Life Brands team and our existing franchisees to ensure we are delivering our senior care solutions to as many clients as possible,” Tarr said in a statement.

Tarr will leverage his experience to help grow Best Life Brands. “I am most excited about joining the team and making an impact quickly. In my almost 20 years of experience, I have learned that most franchise development departments don’t need U-turns; they need to focus on the small things that create bigger opportunities for employees and prospects.”

The Best Life Brands leadership team is thrilled to welcome Tarr. “David comes to us with an extensive background in sales and franchising. With his sales planning and leadership and our desire to continue to grow our portfolio of brands, it’s an ideal fit to help us advance the momentum the company has built,” said J.J. Sorrenti, CEO of Best Life Brands.

A stellar reputation attracted Tarr to Best Life Brands. “Once I had the chance to get into the interview process and meet with both the leadership team and the Riverside Private Equity team, I was so impressed with everyone. I felt like I belonged here from day one.”

Having just lost his mother to dementia, Tarr has first-hand experience of the need for quality senior care. “People are looking for business opportunities that they can feel good about and make a difference in people’s lives. It really is franchising with a cause.”

In Tarr’s view, Best Life Brands will continue to be competitive by “providing the highest-quality brands, the highest-quality employees, and the highest level of integrity and dedication to finding the best fit for each prospective franchisee. The franchise brands that shine are the brands that never lose sight of what’s best for their owners and their customers.”

Tarr and Franchising

Tarr got his start in franchising when he met and befriended a Liberty Tax Service franchisee at his daughter’s kindergarten open house. “I met the CEO and joined Liberty Tax two weeks later. It changed my life. I tell people all the time that I got my ‘real world’ MBA when I decided to buy a franchise of my own, and I turned that into a top-performing store in the Liberty Tax system.”

For entrepreneurs looking to get into franchising, Tarr advises them to just do it. “Don’t let another day go by without acting on your dream to own a business and be your own boss. There’s something for everyone in franchising, and it can make that dream a reality. I’ve seen it work time and time again.”
