McKee Leads Franchise Development in Senior Care Brand’s Nationwide Expansion
Home Helpers Home Care, a non-medical, in-home companionship and personal care services provider, has promoted Clay McKee to vice president of franchise development. McKee leads the brand’s strategic initiatives to enlarge its footprint across the country. Home Helpers also has promoted Bobby Kelley to vice president of franchise development.
“Being part of a company with a strong mission and real growth potential excites me,” McKee said. “Titles don’t matter as much as the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded leaders and drive Home Helpers forward. Bobby and I are not just focused on awarding franchises; we’re exploring new opportunities and breaking down doors to expand Home Helpers in new ways.”
McKee recalled being instantly sold on the senior care brand after meeting Kelley. “Bobby and I struck up a conversation, and by the next day, he had invited me to the Home Helpers Home Care office to meet the president and CEO, Emma Dickison, about a job opportunity,” McKee said.

Dickison said McKee and Kelley have been instrumental in Home Helpers’ growth. “Their well-deserved promotions are a reflection of their commitment to our mission and the continued success of our world-class franchise community,” Dickison said.
McKee’s Commitment to Franchising
McKee’s experience also includes serving as executive director of franchise development at Handyman Connection and as franchise development director at PuroClean. McKee said his tenure with Home Helpers has given him a deep understanding of the brand and the industry. “My experience in franchising strengthened my broker networks and strategic growth approach, which I’m now leveraging to drive expansion. By tapping into broker networks and geo-targeting key markets, we’re identifying high-caliber franchise candidates in underserved areas, opening new doors for growth and further positioning Home Helpers as an industry leader.”
Helping entrepreneurs – especially those transitioning from corporate America to franchising –also is fulfilling because of the impact on local economies, he said. “Our franchisees create jobs in their communities and, most importantly, help seniors age with dignity and a better quality of life. It is a mission that truly makes a difference at every level,” he said.
As part of his commitment to professional development, McKee earned a distinction as a Certified Franchise Executive. “The CFE distinction represents a dedication to educating and empowering individuals on the value of business ownership, not just for themselves but for their communities,” he said. “It is a lifelong commitment to excellence in franchising, and I carry that with me every day in my role.”
Outside of the office, McKee enjoys golfing with friends and spending time with his two sons. “I live to work and work to live, and I’m grateful for a career that gives me the balance to enjoy both.”
