Kramer Leverages Successful Track Record in Content Restoration Leadership Roles
Five Star Franchising, a platform of home services franchises, has named Ben Kramer president of Bio-One. Kramer leads daily operations and strategic expansion efforts for the franchise, which provides crime scene cleanup and biohazard decontamination services. He brings almost 20 years of experience in operations and leadership, including serving as president of company-owned locations for FRSTeam restoration franchise, where he led a turnaround from six-figure monthly losses to break even within 90 days.
“Bio-One’s focus on helping communities is what really caught my eye,” Kramer said. “The brand’s commitment to doing important, meaningful work sets it apart, especially in today’s environment. I saw a lot of growth potential here as well, and that made it an exciting next step for me. The chance to lead a brand with such a strong purpose, and to help expand its reach and impact is energizing.”
He said he looks forward to working with the brand’s franchise owners. “Building on what we’ve already achieved is exciting, and I see a lot of room for us to grow, especially by broadening both our sales channels and service offerings and expanding into new communities. I want to help our franchisees thrive, and at the same time, grow the brand’s footprint — ensuring more people and families have access to the peace of mind our services provide.”
Kramer said his prior experience in content restoration gives him an ideal perspective into the challenges and opportunities in his new role. “It’s a field that requires efficiency, attention to detail and building trust with clients who need support in their most challenging times. This background has really prepared me to support franchisees effectively, run efficient operations and grow brands that truly resonate with people. Combining that experience with my passion for continuous improvement makes me confident I can help Bio-One succeed and continue expanding its positive impact.”
Andrew Mengason, chief growth officer for Five Star Franchising, said Kramer is a natural fit for the position because of his commitment to putting people first. “Ben is a skilled operator and teambuilder, but he’s also an effective ambassador for company culture,” Mengason said.
Leading a Team
Kramer’s leadership philosophy centers on transparency, honesty and clear communication, he said. “I think a good leader listens extremely well and is always open to new ideas and feedback. I find that when people feel supported and motivated, they’re more committed and innovative, which ultimately drives success for the whole team. Continuously learning and improving is not just a part of my leadership approach, but my personal approach to life in general!”
In his personal life, Kramer enjoys endurance training, and he and his wife have competed in multiple Ironman Triathlons prior to having children.
