The Urgent Care Franchise Plans to Grow While Maintaining Affordability and Access
American Family Care (AFC), an urgent care provider with almost 400 walk-in clinics across the U.S., has appointed Dan Olivier chief financial officer. Olivier has more than two decades of financial leadership experience across a variety of sectors, including health care, consumer services and manufacturing industries.
“I’m excited to partner with franchise owners to drive impactful, lasting change in the health care landscape,” Olivier said. “Urgent care has become a vital access point for patients, especially with the challenges in accessing primary care providers and with hospital emergency room capacity constraints. AFC is well positioned to meet this growing need, and I’m excited to contribute to its continued expansion and success.”
Olivier, who previously served as CFO of Ideal Image, a provider of aesthetic services, said he’s fascinated by how finance tells the story of a business. “Every number represents an action or decision, and when you understand the financials, you can unlock value and help guide better outcomes. Finance connects all the parts of a business, including strategy, operations and investment. It helps align those efforts for long-term success.”

Jeremy Morgan, CEO of American Family Care, said Olivier’s experience overseeing financial planning, operations and profitability strategies serve him well in the role. “Dan’s experience in all aspects of financial leadership plays a pivotal role in strengthening AFC’s business model to support its ongoing growth, profitability and franchise partners in our communities across the U.S.,” Morgan said.
An Investor’s Mindset
Olivier advises franchisors to approach decisions with a long-term view. “Invest in things that create lasting value, such as recruiting and retaining the best employees, customer loyalty and quality assurance. Strong, sustained performance often stems from doing the right things consistently: building trust with customers, nurturing high-performing teams and creating systems that support growth over time. It’s about seeing every dollar spent as an opportunity to strengthen the brand.”
