When Michael Mudd and Jason Barclay talk about going all in, they mean total commitment. At BrandONE Franchise Development, that commitment shows up in the way they approach every brand. Mudd, BrandONE’s CEO and partner, and Barclay, CFO and partner, have carried this philosophy into every aspect of the business. For them, going all in means working side by side with founders and focusing on the details that set a brand up for success.

BrandONE’s mission is to help founders grow the right way. “We’re intentional about the brands we bring on,” says Mudd. “If we don’t believe in the model, the market and the people behind it, we won’t move forward.”

Once a brand is on board, the team digs into every aspect of the business. They spend time with the founders, walk through operations and experience products and services first hand. “We become advocates, strategists and sometimes the toughest challengers,” Mudd explains. “Our role is to help founders scale without losing the heart of what makes them special.”

Instead of chasing fast results, BrandONE builds systems and processes designed to last. Training programs, marketing strategies and operations are all developed with franchisees in mind. “Our goal is not just to award franchises but to make sure every franchisee has the tools to thrive,” Barclay says.

Growth with Discipline

BrandONE was created with the belief that franchisors need true partners, not a high-pressure sales team. “From day one, we chose deliberate, disciplined growth over volume,” says Barclay. “We started with a small set of founder-led concepts, went all in on each and earned the right to scale by delivering real outcomes.”

Those outcomes included stronger systems, healthier unit economics and franchisees who could validate quickly and honestly. Over time, the company expanded into a full-service brand-building platform. Today, BrandONE represents 17 category-diverse brands with investment levels ranging from $100,000 to $5.4 million.

The company has become known for launching high-potential concepts the right way, repositioning good brands that need a reset and scaling systems while protecting what makes them unique.

Leaders with Experience

BrandONE’s leadership team has more than 300 years of combined experience in franchising. That includes roles as franchisors, operators, developers, marketers and consultants.

BrandONE’s newest partner, Jonathan “JT” Thiessen, joined the team as chief growth officer in August 2025, strengthening the company’s commitment to scaling franchise systems —particularly within the fast-growing home service verticals. “I’m honored to have been given the opportunity to join this powerhouse as a partner and look forward to bringing my passion for building first-in-class franchise brands to the table as we continue to grow.”

The four partners couldn’t be more excited to welcome Thiessen as the fifth. “JT has a track record in franchising that speaks for itself. The guy is a beast. He took Budget Blinds from 40 franchise owners to approximately 1,000. He was a key player in the development of what became the parent company, Home Franchise Concepts,” says Mudd.

For BrandONE, transparency is the foundation of every partnership. “We don’t sugarcoat challenges or overpromise outcomes,” Barclay says. Mudd adds that the company only works with founders they like, trust and respect. “If we’re going all in, it has to be with people who share our values,” he says.

That mutual commitment creates strong partnerships and sets brands up for healthy growth. “Our journey has proven that when you go all in on a brand, growth follows,” Mudd says.
