PuroClean recently achieved two enviable milestones: exceeding 500 units and reaching its 25th anniversary. PuroClean’s leaders have nurtured the brand’s growth by establishing a Servant Leadership culture while emphasizing Franchise Owners’ long-term success. The brand’s still-growing network of locally owned businesses restores residential and commercial properties after they incur damage from various types of disasters.

The franchise’s longevity is significant, but even more remarkable is its eclipse of the 500-unit total. Only 7% of franchise systems achieve 500 or more locations, according to the Value of Franchising report prepared by Oxford Economics and published in January 2026 by the International Franchise Association.

PuroClean Chairman and CEO Mark W. Davis attributes the brand’s prosperity to its ability to consistently and promptly supply compassionate, expert services while preserving local accountability. That, in turn, has built the brand’s respected reputation as a go-to resource after disaster strikes. PuroClean Franchise Owners remediate smoke, water and fire damage; remove mold; and perform biohazard cleanup services.

Servant Leadership

“As we enter our 25th year, we’re recognizing how far this brand has come while staying focused on what’s ahead,” Davis says. “Our growth is driven by our Servant Leadership culture and relentless commitment to the customer experience. Leadership for us means growing our brand while continuing to serve our Franchise Owners at every stage of their individual growth cycles.”

PuroClean President Steve White echoes that assessment. “Our focus has always been on building a system that supports long-term success, and the 500-unit milestone reflects the trust, alignment and execution across our entire system.”

Franchise Business Review surveys show that 85% of Franchise Owners respect their franchisor. A helpful spirit prevails among PuroClean’s network of Franchise Owners, who support one another when facing challenges and refining best practices.

Market for Restoration Services

Tamarac, Fla.-based PuroClean enjoys a further boost from the rising demand for restoration services. ResearchAndMarkets.com, a global online market research store, predicts the U.S. property restoration services market size will increase from $52.79 billion in 2025 to $55.81 billion this year, a compound annual growth rate of 5.7%. PuroClean’s potential market is even bigger because it operates in Canada, too.

Under a decade-plus of private ownership by Davis and Vice Chairman Frank Torre, PuroClean has demonstrated strong, consistent performance. Since 2022, for example, the franchise has experienced an almost 50% increase in system-wide sales growth across North America, while expanding its footprint responsibly.

“Private ownership allows us to grow with intention,” says Torre. “It enables us to invest in people, partnerships and infrastructure while staying true to the values that built this brand.”

PuroClean leaders say their next goal is to extend the brand’s presence into underserved markets, making progress toward its goal of becoming a $1 billion franchise system. The leadership team also works constantly to add and strengthen national partnerships that improve Franchise Owners’ operations.
