Storm Guard, a full-exterior home services brand, is targeting key Arkansas communities in its strategic statewide franchise expansion. Little Rock and Fayetteville are priority markets for the franchise, which also seeks franchise owners throughout the state to meet increasing demand for exterior home services.

Founded in 2003 and franchising since 2011, Storm Guard operates 34 franchised locations in 17 states and has garnered awards including a ranking on Franchise Business Review’s Top Franchises list. The Arkansas growth strategy follows Storm Guard’s rebrand in 2025, which transformed the company into a unified full-exterior services provider. By consolidating its expertise under one national brand, Storm Guard enables homeowners to rely on one trusted partner for roofing, siding, windows, gutters and exterior painting, which reduces the complexity of coordinating multiple vendors and ensures a consistent, high-quality experience across every project.

“Arkansas is a natural fit for Storm Guard as we continue expanding in high-growth markets where homeowners need dependable, full-exterior support,” Storm Guard President Shane Lynch says. “Little Rock and Fayetteville are especially strong opportunities because of their size, continued development and need for trusted service providers who can help protect and restore homes with integrity.”

Demand for Exterior Home Services

The U.S. home services market is valued at $842 billion and projected to reach $989.22 billion by 2031, representing a 3.27% compound annual growth rate, according to Mordor Intelligence. Factors contributing to the market growth include:

  • Aging housing stock: The median home purchased in 2024 in the U.S. was a decade older than a home bought in 2012, reflecting decreased construction of new homes, Mordor reports. Buyers of older homes often face issues resulting from deferred maintenance, creating greater demand for exterior home services.
  • Higher mortgage rates: About 80% of homeowners with mortgages have rates below today’s levels, according to National Mortgage Professional, so, instead of relocating and paying higher mortgage rates, homeowners increasingly have chosen to stay put and remodel. Roughly 65% of recent renovators say they upgraded their existing homes instead of moving, while 71% planning renovations next year say they intend to remodel rather than buy a new home, NMP reports.
  • Rebates: Energy-efficient upgrades, such as replacement windows, may qualify for state or utility company rebates, depending on location.
  • Weather-related disasters: Spending on repairs caused by weather-related damage accounts for a growing share of all remodeling. In 2022 and 2023 combined, spending to repair damages caused by hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, flooding and other catastrophic events represented 6% of all improvement expenditures nationally, up from less than 4% two decades earlier, according to Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies. Homeowners spent an average of $23 billion annually in 2021–2023 repairing damages from disasters, which was up from less than $9 billion in 2003, after adjusting for inflation, the center reported.
