Fast-Food Franchises Celebrate the Season with Refreshing Food Options and Iced Drinks

Spring has arrived at fast-food franchises! Brands including Dunkin’, Starbucks and many others have rolled out seasonal drinks and food items to welcome longer daylight hours and warmer seasonal weather. Innovative drink flavors including lavender and matcha appear on menus for a limited time, and fruity salads are all the rage to keep meals light and refreshing.
Franchises even choose flowery springtime themes for marketing to promote these highly anticipated seasonal items. Read on for a compilation of new and returning seasonal restaurant menu items at fast-food franchises.
Spring 2025: Seasonal Restaurant Menu Items
BIGGBY COFFEE
BIGGBY COFFEE’s new spring menu will be available through May 21. Highlights include the honey lavender latte, white lavender matcha tea latte, white lavender sweet foam cold brew and lavender lemonade. Customers can also enjoy a lemon muffin and sausage cheddar biscuit with honey.
Buona
Buona, the family-owned franchise behind Chicago’s original Italian beef, has added two food items to its springtime menu. The Mediterranean chicken salad (above) and Buona hot chicken promise to satisfy customers looking for a refreshing – or spicy – meal.
Chick-fil-A
For a limited time, Chick-fil-A is offering pineapple-dragon fruit beverages. These tropical fruits combine with a choice of frosted lemonade, lemonade, iced tea or Sunjoy, which is a mixture of lemonade and iced tea. These drinks are even more delicious with the new smokehouse barbecue bacon sandwich.
Denny’s
Denny’s new seasonal menu includes salted caramel banana crème pancakes (above), salted caramel banana stuffed French toast and salted caramel banana Liège-style waffles made with buttery dough, pearl sugar, seasonal fruits and a drizzle of sea salt caramel sauce. Menu items making a return include the fried fish dinner and triple juicy burger. Additionally, Denny’s is expanding its beverage selection with new Slammin’ Sodas in three flavors: Sprite & Strawberry, Slammin’ Dr Pepper and Slammin’ Coca-Cola.
Dunkin’
Spring came early to Dunkin’ this year. Since early March, fans of the coffee and doughnut brand have been enjoying chicken bacon croissant stuffers, sweet black pepper seasoned snackin’ bacon and the Dunkalatte, a latte made with a special coffee milk. Dunkin’ is even adding more great menu items starting April 2 including blueberry sprinkled Munchkins and the cotton candy specialty doughnut.
Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream
From April 1 to June 1, Handel’s customers can indulge in its newest creation: raspberry dream cream. This limited time menu item is a blend of red raspberry sherbet and vanilla ice cream.
Jamba
Jamba has brought back its fan-favorite oatmeal bowls for the spring! The berry brown sugar oatmeal bowl is topped with brown sugar, strawberries and blueberries, and the peanut butter banana crunch oatmeal bowl is finished with bananas, granola, peanut butter and honey.
Juice It Up!
Juice It Up!, a leading açai bowl, handcrafted smoothie and raw juice franchise, is making spring even sweeter with a new seasonal menu. The fan-favorite bluetox and berry-lavender smoothies will be available through June 16, and new toasts include PB & strawberry, peanut banana crunch and berries & cream.
MilkShake Factory
Who doesn’t love a refreshing milkshake during springtime? The MilkShake Factory franchise has a variety of milkshakes to choose from, including chocolate-dipped strawberry, cookie jar, chocolatier and coconut caramel cookie.
OAKBERRY
OAKBERRY is welcoming spring by launching new pints of sorbet exclusively at Sprouts Farmers Market locations nationwide. The OAKBERRY sorbet comes in three flavors: açaí sorbet, açaí sorbet with peanut butter chunks, and açaí sorbet with banana and strawberry chunks.
Paris Baguette
Highlights from the new Paris Baguette spring menu include the croissant with Nutella and the pizzetta with raspberry and Nutella. The brand’s lineup also includes three new Nutella beverages: chocolate hazelnut frappe with Nutella, chocolate hazelnut latte with Nutella, and chocolate hazelnut sweet cream cold brew with Nutella.
PJ’s Coffee
Spring is in the air at PJ’s Coffee. Through May 7, fans of the coffee franchise can enjoy the new frosted strawberry lemonade (above), as well as returning menu items including honey brûlée shaken espresso and honey brûlée velvet ice.
Rita’s Italian Ice
Rita’s Italian Ice is adding even more zing to its refreshing lineup with the SKITTLES Italian ice flavor and SKITTLES POP’d topping, which are available for a limited time.
Starbucks
Starbucks lovers, rejoice! The coffee giant is never at a loss for creative new menu items. These include iced cherry chai, Sunsera Blend blonde-roast coffee and the jalapeño chicken pocket. Returning seasonal items include the iced lavender cream oat milk matcha, iced lavender oat milk latte and lavender crème Frappuccino.
The Human Bean
The Human Bean franchise released a new lineup of seasonal drinks just in time for spring. These include the lavender cold foam matcha; little beans lucky cloud, an Italian soda with bubbles of blue raspberry and watermelon and topped with cream; and lavender breve made with espresso, lavender and steamed half-and-half.
Tim Hortons
Tim Hortons is getting into the spirit of spring with a new seasonal menu at participating locations that includes new bunny doughnuts decorated as Easter rabbits, hazelnut mocha iced cappuccino topped with Nutella, matcha lattes, and a croissant filled with Nutella and whipped sweet cream.
Yogurtland
Yogurtland is celebrating the arrival of spring with a fresh lineup of flavors and toppings. Participating locations are serving peach tart, plain peach swirl and chocolate pistachio swirl for a limited time. Peach tart is a blend of tangy and sweet and made with real peaches, and the plain peach swirl is a combination of peach tart and plain tart frozen yogurt. These seasonal treats can be topped with bunny bunch gummies and peach burst gummies.
Ziggi’s Coffee
Ziggi’s Coffee is celebrating the new season by rolling out three seasonal menu items: apple pucker punch (an energy infusion that offers a burst of tart green apple with a hint of coconut), horchata blender (a blend of milk, cinnamon and vanilla) and a strawberry cake pop. These items are available for a limited time.
