Mr Jeff Laundry and Dry Cleaning Service Opens in Florida

Mr Jeff Laundry Franchise

The Innovative Mr Jeff Service Allows Customers to Set Pickup and Return of Laundry with a Two-Day Turnaround

Mr Jeff has launched its app-driven laundry service in the Miami area, the company’s first franchise in the United States. Customers of the Coral Gables, Miami-Dade County franchise, like those at Mr Jeff sites operating in more than 30 other countries, drop off their laundry at the location, or schedule their laundry for pickup and return within a 48-hour window. The proprietary mobile app uses artificial intelligence to disrupt the laundry industry and ease a major pain for time-crunched customers.

Franchise owner Sergio Aguirre, a Miami resident, was introduced to Mr Jeff while living in Mexico. He was immediately smitten as a consumer because Mr Jeff streamlines and modernizes a recurring chore that normally takes hours, reducing the process of doing laundry to just a few seconds. And as an entrepreneur, Aguirre was tantalized by the company’s business model, advanced product solutions and innovative app.

Satisfying the Desire for Delivery

“I jumped at the opportunity to open this business to help people in the Miami area replace the time spent doing laundry every weekend, with time better spent enjoying experiences with friends and family,” he says. “With convenience and a desire for more free time – combined with the current ability to have everything from meals, groceries and home supplies delivered to your doorstep – the South Florida market is ripe for outsourced laundry services.”

Mr Jeff was established in 2015 by three entrepreneurs in Spain who named their start-up after Geoffrey, the witty butler featured on the hit 1990s situation comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The three co-founders envisioned Mr Jeff as bringing the ease and efficiency of Amazon and Uber Eats deliveries to laundry, saving time for and delivering premium service to today’s busy consumers.

Mr Jeff’s Process

Here’s how Mr Jeff works: After a customer schedules a service through the Jeff App, the laundry bag is picked up (at whatever site is best for the customer) with a contact-free protocol. The laundry is then cleaned at the Mr Jeff hub and returned to the customer’s location of choice in a maximum of 48 hours. Customers also may drop off and/or pick up their clothes at the Mr Jeff hub, but most opt for the convenience of pickup and delivery. Mr Jeff locations can wash and fold as well as do dry cleaning and ironing. Mr Jeff also offers monthly membership options at reduced rates.

Peter Stern, managing director of Mr Jeff in the United States, predicts Mr Jeff will take off in the U.S. and especially in Florida because of its population density in major markets, bustling state economy and abundance of college students, who often are early adopters of new technology. Stern points out “that Florida ranks fourth in the U.S. for the largest college student population,” which makes Mr Jeff “an attractive business opportunity for existing and aspiring entrepreneurs looking to meet the growing needs of students and other individuals living a busy, on-the-go lifestyle – who want to outsource the tedious, ongoing task of laundry.”

Franchise Plans and Opportunities

Massachusetts, New York and Texas will soon have Mr Jeff sites, and additional franchises are due to open in Florida, including Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville. Like Aguirre, franchisees are drawn to the company’s Jeff App and two more proprietary tech products: The Jeff Suite, business-management software that supports growth with functions such as invoicing, profit and loss analysis and a marketing assistant tool with automated recommendations; and The Jeff Driver App, which manages pickup and delivery schedules and drivers’ routes.

Mr Jeff has plans for significant growth in the United States and in particular seeks qualified entrepreneurs in Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Tennessee and Vermont. Franchisees should possess management skills, a passion for customer service, and a minimum of $140,000 to fund their businesses.
