
Kalinowski Has Two Decades of Franchise Operations Experience
Accelerated Waste Solutions (AWS), a waste removal and recycling services franchise, tapped Ryan Kalinowski as director of franchise performance. With this position, he will focus on driving franchisee success and enhancing customer satisfaction. He brings 20 years of franchising experience to the role.
Kalinowski is thrilled to work with the AWS management team. “Fred [Tomlin] and Sherrod [Hunter] have proven the model is successful and can be easily replicated without any specific industry experience. The passion they bring to the brand every day brings out the passion of our team. They are well thought out and deliberate in the strategy of growing AWS. Even with the immediate success we have seen, both Fred and Sherrod display incredible focus and humility every day,” Kalinowski said. He’s most excited to bring more framework and structure to AWS’ coaching and training programs.
Hunter looks forward to seeing Kalinowski take on this position. “Ryan is a proven leader with extensive experience in metrics-driven management, strategic planning, and building strong partnerships. Kalinowski and Franchising
Kalinowski was introduced to franchising when he met Snap Fitness founder Peter Taunton, who brought him on as one of the first Snap Fitness field training employees. Kalinowski enjoyed working with franchisees to improve their operations and profitability. His favorite part of franchising is the day-to-day connections he has with franchisees and team members. To him, the better franchisees perform, the better the brand is.
Prior to joining AWS, he held leadership positions with the Friendly Fire esports arena franchise, the Spray-Net Inc painting franchise, and the Profile by Sanford weight management program.
Franchisee Success
Kalinowski urges franchisee prospects to understand their “why” and have a passion that meshes with the brand. He advises franchisors to keep an eye on the main KPIs. In his view, building great teams, executing at a high level, and fostering a loyal fan base are the keys to operational excellence.
