The Fitness Machine Repair Franchise is the Third Brand Under Mainline’s Umbrella

Main Line Brands has added a third company to its portfolio of service franchises: Fitness Machine Technicians. Fitness Machine Technicians services workout equipment in fitness centers, corporations, hotels, condominiums, educational institutions, government facilities and residences in the United States and Canada.

In a news release announcing the deal, Chris Buitron, Main Line Brands president and CEO, said the acquisition of Fitness Machine Technicians was attractive because it’s an emerging brand that possesses a wide customer base. “They are a unique concept that provides a much-needed service for businesses and homeowners across North America.”

Fitness Machine Technicians History

Don Powers, president and CEO of Fitness Machine Technicians, said that his company’s “alignment with Main Line Brands can take our growth to another level. We share Main Line Brands’ commitment to the customer and to providing excellent and reliable services at an affordable price. We believe this is an ideal relationship as we move ahead and develop in the future.”

Leaning on his 30 years of experience in the fitness industry – selling equipment, owning retail locations, and owning and managing fitness centers – Powers in 2002 founded the company. He saw an opportunity in filling a vital niche in the fitness industry: a business dedicated to repairing and maintaining workout equipment. The company was originally called Exertech, but Powers renamed it Fitness Machine Technicians in 2014.

In 2012 Philadelphia-based Fitness Machine Technicians sold its first franchise. In 2018 it launched a wide-ranging franchise marketing campaign. It now has 50-plus franchise owners in the U.S. and Canada, with more than 100 territories operating in 30 states and three Canadian provinces.

Overview of Main Line Brands Franchise

In addition to Fitness Machine Technicians, Main Line Brands owns Mosquito Authority and Pest Authority franchises. Both have business models with no commitments and no annual contracts. Mosquito Authority controls ticks as well as mosquitoes. Pest Authority specializes in commercial and residential pest, rodent and termite control. Main Line Brands is based in Hickory, N.C., and has more than 700 franchise territories nationally across the three brands.

In October 2020 Susquehanna Private Capital invested in Main Line Brands. Susquehanna Private Capital invests in businesses that will benefit from changing consumer preferences, increased business model complexity, and outsourcing trends.
