Lopez Brings More than a Decade of Experience to the Role
Tint World, a window tinting and automotive accessory company, tapped Mike Lopez as chief operations officer (COO). Lopez brings over a decade of operational and leadership experience to the role. In addition to Lopez, the automotive franchise’s leadership team recently added Jonathan Norman as chief investment officer.
“Tint World has an incredible record of success, and the company is poised for even greater achievements in the coming months and years. Because of the company’s proven methods and unbeatable culture, I’ve been able to hit the ground running, and I’m excited about everything the future holds here at Tint World,” Lopez said in a statement.
He loves franchising’s entrepreneurial spirit and seeing others succeed. After connecting with chief executive officer Charles Bonfiglio and reaching out for mentorship, Lopez couldn’t say no when presented with the opportunity to join the Tint World team. Lopez is excited about the opportunity to grow the automotive franchise into a household name and do it with great franchise partners.

Bonfiglio is thrilled to have Lopez in this position. “Mike has demonstrated a passion for franchising leadership throughout his career, and his experience in the automotive industry makes him an invaluable addition to our growing team. His strategic vision and commitment to developing new leaders will be key as we build on our success and continue growing the Tint World brand.”
Lopez’s Franchising Experience
Lopez’s initial franchising experience was in 2018 with Take 5 Oil Change, a quick lube franchise with Driven Brands, a corporate franchisor of automotive concepts. Over the course of his career, he held leadership positions with California Pizza Kitchen as well as Maaco and Auto Glass Now, which are also part of Driven Brands.
Lopez’s favorite part of franchising is the responsibility to protect an investment. With that in mind, he believes in showing humility because people’s livelihoods are on the line.
Franchise Due Diligence
Lopez urges franchisee candidates to do their due diligence and decide on a brand based on the level of support they will receive, not just the financials. To Lopez, franchisors have a responsibility to create an environment that promotes growth at every level, which protects the brand.
Lopez enjoys boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, music, and spending time with his family. He played D1 baseball for the University of Nevada – Las Vegas and was a free agent draftee of the Atlanta Braves.
