Seymour, Now a VP, Has Corporate and Franchise Restaurant Experience

Salata Salad Kitchen has moved Sammy Seymour up from senior director of operations to vice president of operations. Seymour, who will foster the growth of the franchise and his team, joins another new Salata executive, Tiffany Perez, vice president of franchise development.

Seymour sees Salata as a strong, nimble franchise with a promising future. “Not only has the Salata brand evolved, but so have the industry and the world around us. We’ve adapted to the increasing demand for innovative technology, embraced nontraditional sales-building methods, responded to shifts in workforce dynamics and faced growing competition from other industries. Our concept is simple yet powerful, and I’m committed to enhancing its efficiency while preserving the unwavering freshness and quality that defines our food.”

His accomplishments with Salata include implementing new systems to improve operational efficiency and enhance customers’ dining experience: a daily operations app, redesigning measurement tools, enhancing guest retention strategies, launching a comprehensive mystery shopping program and consolidating vendor relationships.

Salata President Michele Maerz gave credit to Perez as well as Seymour for significantly nurturing the brand’s development. Maerz said she’s confident the two new vice presidents will help Salata reach the 100-restaurant milestone – and keep growing from there.

Restaurant Industry Career

Seymour’s multi-decade career in the restaurant industry started with an entry-level job he held as a student. Having experience in corporate and franchise restaurant operations is invaluable, with “each offering unique insights that enriches the other. I’m grateful for the opportunity to bridge these worlds,” he said, and contribute to a franchise that aligns with his values. “I’m proud to work for a brand that not only prioritizes healthy eating but also embodies the values of health and balance in every aspect. Beyond serving nutritious food, we foster a work environment that champions a great work-life balance for all,” said Seymour, a married father of two.
