Company Name: Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning

Jonathan Barnett started Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning in 2006 because – as he learned in college and graduate school – carpet cleaning has a low barrier to entry, is excellent for creating repeat business, offers a service in high demand and has the potential to net millions of dollars. Working with a team of chemists, Barnett created an innovative and environmentally-friendly carpet cleaning system that uses green cleaning solutions, leaves no sticky residue and is safe for children and pets. In addition, Oxi Fresh’s cleaning method only requires two gallons of water per home – as opposed to the 40-50 gallons that other carpet cleaners use – and offers one of the fastest dry times possible: one hour on average. In addition to carpet cleaning, Oxi Fresh provides services for rugs, upholstery, hardwood floors and tile and grout. The other key to Oxi Fresh’s success is its exclusive Scheduling Center, which answers calls and schedules appointments for all of the company’s franchisees. It receives approximately 2,500 calls each day and allows franchisees to work “on their business, rather than in their business.” Recognized as one of “America’s Best Franchises,” according to Forbes magazine, Oxi Fresh recently completed its 500,000th job and, since completing its first job nearly 10 years ago, has saved 25 million gallons of water with its green, oxygen-powered carpet cleaning system. Today, Oxi Fresh has expanded its franchise footprint to include more than 280 units in 45 states and Canada, with many more in development. Having already opened nearly 85 new units since the beginning of 2014 alone, company plans call for awarding 50-75 additional franchise opportunities to qualified candidates over the next 12-18 months.
