Pizza Franchises Celebrate the Beloved Fast Food with Fun Promotions and Discounts
While Halloween, Oktoberfest and breast cancer awareness rightfully command a lot of attention in October, one of the world’s most popular food items, pizza, also gets some love during the fall month.
Gerry Durnell, a pizzeria owner and publisher of Pizza Today magazine, conceived of the idea for National Pizza Month in October 1984. He chose October because it marked the release of the magazine’s debut issue, according to Pizza Today. Durnell thought a pizza-centric celebration would support the growth of his Indiana-based business and the industry generally.
Fast forward to today, and pizza franchises are thriving in the U.S. as they meet the demand of the 93% of Americans who eat pizza at least once a month. According to worldmetrics.org, 17% of all U.S. restaurants are pizzerias, and the industry is worth $46 billion.

Cicis Pizza
Cicis Pizza has a great deal for guests through Nov. 3: Two large one-topping pizzas are $6.99 each. This National Pizza Month offer is available only for online orders for pickup.
Mountain Mike’s Pizza
Mountain Mike’s is celebrating National Pizza Month by offering guests any six-count classic or half-pound boneless wing order for $4.99 and any 12-count classic or 1-pound boneless order for $8.99 with the purchase of any pizza. This deal excludes mini pizzas.
Toppers Pizza
Pizza lovers, rejoice! Toppers Pizza has several carryout deals available during National Pizza Month. For example, a large one-topping pizza is only $7.99 for carryout only.
