
Franchising Veteran Will Lead Array of Activities to Fuel Industry Growth
As the International Franchise Association’s new senior vice president of sales, Sheila Fischer will handle far-reaching activities to generate revenue. Fischer has worked with the franchise industry for many years and is a certified franchise executive, or CFE.
In an IFA news release announcing the hiring, Fischer said “it is an honor to join IFA during a time of explosive growth within the industry and at the association. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to build on my relationships to grow IFA value and revenue, and further the IFA mission to protect, enhance and promote franchising.”
Fischer’s Duties for IFA
The IFA’s news release stated that Fischer will develop a comprehensive sales strategy to identify prospects among and outside IFA membership for franchisors, suppliers and enterprise customers. She also will cultivate growth within current membership rolls and is tasked with expanding the IFA Preferred Vendor Network.

Fischer will oversee event sponsorships, exhibitors, digital products, publications, advertising, sponsored content and education. In addition, she will identify growth opportunities and develop sales strategies across membership programs and the IFA Foundation.
Before joining IFA, Fischer was president and CEO of the franchise division for MFV Exposition/Comexposium. With MFV, she led all new business development, relationship management and product strategy within the company’s franchising sector. Fischer previously held wide-ranging roles at the franchise exposition company, including groups senior vice president, group show director and sales manager.
IFA Cites Fischer’s Achievements
Jennifer Brandeen, chief operating officer of the IFA, welcomed Fischer to the association, calling her “an incredible addition to the IFA team.” Brandeen added that “Fischer is a proven leader with unique franchising expertise and a lifetime of experience as a top producer in sales, sponsorship and management.
