The Experienced Clinician Fuels the Physical Therapy Franchise’s Sustainable Growth and Innovation

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers, a Florida-based physical therapy franchise, has appointed Craig O’Neil president of clinical operations. O’Neil, a physical therapist with almost 30 years of experience, is responsible for attracting and retaining top clinical talent and ensuring the success of every clinic. He recently served as chief clinical officer at Upstream Rehabilitation and Results Physiotherapy where he oversaw more than 4,000 clinicians.

“My work has always centered on taking what we know that works in clinical settings and translating it into repeatable, high-quality processes that support growth,” O’Neil said. “Joining FYZICAL aligns closely with that experience. Physical therapy sits at the intersection of health care, prevention and long-term wellness — and that continuum is exactly where I’ve spent most of my career. Helping people stay mobile, independent and healthy is a mission I care deeply about.”

O’Neil said FYZICAL’s national reach, specialty in balance and vestibular care and unwavering commitment to clinical excellence are its core strengths. “This role allows me to continue raising the standard of operations and clinical quality with the patient at the center of every decision. I’m also passionate about attracting and developing top-tier physical therapy talent, and this platform offers a meaningful way to do that at scale.”

Wayne Cavanaugh, CEO of FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers, said O’Neil is the leader who will bring the brand to the next level. “Craig brings the rare blend of clinical rigor, operational experience and people-first focus that will elevate our outcomes at scale,” Cavanaugh said.

Positioned for Growth

O’Neil said FYZICAL’s specialty focus, national scale and clinical expertise positions the brand in leading the evolution of physical therapy. “Health care is shifting from reactive treatment to proactive prevention. Physical therapy is perfectly aligned with that shift, and FYZICAL will play a major role in bridging traditional physical therapy with long-term wellness, balance, longevity and fall-prevention strategies. With our geographic reach and clinical specialization, we can meaningfully impact how communities think about staying healthy and independent for the long run.”
