Franchise Expo South Set for Sept. 8-9 in Florida

Franchise Expo South

Future Franchisees and Franchisors Can Explore and Network at Free Event

MFV Expositions and Comexposium have opened registration for Franchise Expo South, which is being held Sept. 8-9 at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center. Franchisors as well as aspiring franchisors and franchisees can connect, find out about ownership opportunities, check out profit-boosting tech innovations, and learn about trends in varied industries. Lenders that specialize in franchise funding also are participating in Franchise Expo South, which is a partnership of MFV Expositions/Comexposium and the International Franchise Association (IFA).

More than 200 companies will exhibit at Franchise Expo South, and these exhibitors represent a vast array of industries: cleaning services, a trampoline park, caregiving for both people and pets, pizza and fried chicken restaurants, blow-dry shops, business services, and much more. An entrepreneur can invest in some of these franchises for as little as $10,000.

Education Opportunities

Franchise Expo South plans about two dozen educational seminars and workshops during the event. Before the Franchise Expo South event officially begins, the IFA is hosting the special session “Level UP! Leadership. Influence. Legacy,” on Sept. 7. Attendees can earn three certified franchise executive (CFE) credits by participating in the session, which costs $399. CFE program participation is not a prerequisite for this three-hour offering; it’s open to anyone interested in professional development in franchising.

Attendees may also be interested in a couple of workshops being held on both Sept. 8 and 9. The 1½ hour “A to Z’s of Buying a Franchise” workshop ($100) is designed to help entrepreneurs decide which franchise is the best fit for his or her individual passions and skills. Then there’s the two-hour “Franchise Your Business” workshop ($125), which is geared for business owners who want to determine whether franchising their brand is a viable and wise route to growth.

Benefits to Brands

Of course, emerging and established franchisors will have booths so that entrepreneurs can visit with brand executives to explore what their companies bring to the marketplace. Exhibitors at Franchise Expo South benefit from brand exposure as well as meeting with people who may wish to invest and open one or more franchise units.

“Franchise Expo South is the right place to explore a comprehensive look into opportunities led by industry experts to gain the ins and outs and behind-the-scenes information needed for success,” says Martin Joksimovic, president of MFV Expositions.

Past and Future MFV Events

MFV Franchise Expo South will be MFV Expositions’ last gathering for 2023. It follows the June International Franchise Expo, which was held in New York City and was attended by more than 6,000 people from 64 nations. The event was a study in diversity in terms of 1) ethnicity and culture, with many Asian restaurants sharing the spotlight, and 2) the breadth of industry representation, from a pet cremation service to an indoor firearms range to a training service for hospitality employees… and much, much more.

Next year, MFV Expositions has scheduled its International Franchise Expo from May 30-June 1, 2024. It also has scheduled Franchise Expo West from April 12-13, 2024. To learn more about this year’s Franchise Expo South and to register, visit www.franchiseexpo.com/south.
