The New Marketing and Communications VP is a Longtime Fan of the Breakfast Franchise

Eggs Up Grill, an emerging breakfast franchise, has tapped Chrissy McKinney as vice president of marketing and communications. She leads Eggs Up Grill’s marketing strategy and execution, product development, consumer insights, public relations and franchise development marketing. 

A frequent guest and fan of Eggs Up Grill, McKinney said she was attracted to the emerging franchise because of its huge growth potential and her passion for the breakfast segment. She added that she looks forward to working with the brand’s leadership team and utilizing her national marketing experience to assist franchise partners succeed.

A Career in Restaurant Franchising

McKinney has been in the restaurant industry since she was 17 and said she can’t imagine doing anything else. She began her career in franchising at the independent marketing firm Moroch Partners, where she spent 10 years working on the McDonald’s account. She most recently served as senior director of marketing strategy for Denny’s. 

She said her favorite part of the restaurant industry is working with a team to potentially make someone’s day with a great meal. “If the guest leaves with a smile, we’ve done our job.”

McKinney expressed confidence in the future of restaurant franchising and breakfast concepts. “By supporting our franchise partners, we’re growing an important small business owner in their community, and the power of franchising really brings that dream to life,” she said. 

Outside of work, she loves traveling and spending time with her three children.
