Buzz Franchise Brands Names Chris Davenport Vice President of Franchise Development

Davenport is Excited to Help Grow the Suite of Home Service Brands

Chris Davenport has been named vice president of franchise development of Buzz Franchise Brands, an umbrella franchisor of home service brands including Pool Scouts, British Swim School, and Home Clean Heroes. Davenport will oversee franchise development for the three brands. He recently served as vice president of franchise development for GYMGUYZ, an at-home mobile personal training and fitness franchise.

“The opportunity to represent Buzz Franchise Brands and their suite of home service brands is a true privilege. Buzz represents the best of what franchisors are, and I am excited to be a part of the team and assist with their continued success!” Davenport said.

Davenport looks forward to working with Buzz Franchise Brands’ leadership team. “Buzz has world-class professionals on their corporate teams. I am very much looking forward to being a part of this team and helping to reach new development goals,” he said.

In Davenport’s view, Buzz Franchise Brands will continue to set the standard in franchising. “Their engagement with franchise partners, the level of ethical attention they take to each relationship, and the desire to truly get to know their franchisees on a personal level is unmatched in my opinion. This sort of leadership will continue to shift the approach franchisors take with franchise partners, and it is what makes Buzz so unique,” Davenport said.

Davenport’s Accidental Start in Franchising

Like many entrepreneurs, Davenport stumbled into the franchising industry. “In fact, it was an outside recruiting agency that got me an interview 11 years ago, and I must have said the right things at the right time because I got the job before I even knew what an FDD was!” Davenport said. Since then, Davenport’s passion for franchising has grown.

His previous roles include franchise development manager of Direct Energy Home Services and associate vice president of franchise development of Mathnasium Learning Centers. Davenport believes the best part of franchising is the excitement of making an entrepreneur’s dream come true. For those looking to achieve the American dream of business ownership, Davenport urges them not to wait. “There will never be that ‘perfect moment’ to invest in a franchise; it just doesn’t exist. But if it is your dream and goal, life is too short to wait. Dive in, take the risk, and follow the system,” he said.

To make the development process as seamless as possible for franchisees, Davenport suggests that franchisors focus on effective communication. “Take the time to ensure all aspects of your development process focus on incremental education steps on your brand, services, and opportunity to clients. Make sure that each contact comes with some sort of action item, whether it’s a next meeting or stage in the process. Also, don’t just reach out to ‘check in.’ You should have a reason and keep control of the process,” Davenport said.

Davenport is a Certified Franchise Executive and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Strategic Communications from the University of Kansas.
