Petrane’s Background Includes More than Two Decades of Automotive and Franchising Experience
LINE-X vehicle upfitting and protective coatings franchise has named Frank Petrane vice president of national accounts. Petrane draws on 20-plus years of experience across automotive and franchise sectors to lead efforts to grow LINE-X fleet partnerships and strengthen programs that drive revenue.
“I’ve spent my career building programs that create value for both customers and franchisees at companies like Enterprise Rent-a-Car and Driven Brands, which makes LINE-X a great fit,” Petrane said. “The brand has already built an impressive foundation in fleet upfitting, and I’m looking forward to helping expand our partnerships and commercial capabilities across the network. I’m also excited to help our national accounts team members grow professionally, create new opportunities in their careers and share in the success of the business.”
Petrane said LINE-X propels the automotive industry by simplifying the upfitting process involving the customization of vehicles through the installation of accessories, equipment and more. “Many fleet customers are managing multiple vendors, locations and communication channels across their organizations,” he said. “By leveraging technology, standardized processes and the strength of our franchise network, LINE-X can create a more seamless experience for customers while improving speed, visibility and consistency. Our ultimate goal is to be viewed as a strategic partner rather than simply a vendor.”
LINE-X President Matt Labuda praised Petrane for his expertise in fleet sales, customer relationships and franchise operations. “LINE-X Fleet Solutions has become an increasingly important part of our long-term growth strategy, and adding experienced leaders like Frank allows us to continue to bring meaningful opportunities to our franchise partners,” Labuda said.
Impacting Small Business Success
Petrane said he lives by the motto, “If you’re doing what’s right for the business, you will never be wrong.”
Being able to make a direct impact on small business owners’ success is the most satisfying aspect of franchising, he said. “Franchisees invest their own capital, take on personal risk and work incredibly hard to build their businesses. When you’re able to help deliver meaningful growth opportunities, the impact can be life-changing. Some of the most rewarding moments in my career have been hearing from franchisees who achieved record years because of accounts and programs our team helped develop.”
Over the years, Petrane’s passion for cars has extended beyond work. He has accumulated a few automotive projects and toys of his own, primarily classic Jeep CJs.
