Low Impact Workouts Attracted the Friends Star to the Innovative Fitness Franchise
Rachel Katzman was frustrated with her high-impact workouts, which failed to produce the physical results she sought and left her hurting and fatigued. A longtime fitness enthusiast with a history of scoliosis pain, Katzman finally reached the breaking point. That’s when she discovered the power of functional movement to achieve a fit and sculpted body without the pain and drain.
Katzman decided to develop a low-impact fitness method that could provide the same positive benefits for others. The result was Pvolve, founded in 2017, a science-driven workout led by expert trainers utilizing unique proprietary resistance equipment.
The Pvolve method is overseen by a clinical advisory board comprised of medical doctors, a physical therapist and sports physiologist. “Pvolve is committed to science and validating the fitness method through clinical research trials with leading universities around lower back pain, mobility, strength and muscle mass,” Pvolve President Julie Cartwright says. “Pvolve is a functional fitness method. What this means is that every class is intentional and will focus on movements and movement patterns that matter so you can improve your bio-mechanics, prevent injuries and enjoy a more resilient and capable body in your everyday life,” Cartwright says.

“This is truly a holistic and sustainable approach to fitness that is adaptable, making it suitable for individuals of all fitness levels,” she says. “The low-impact, highly effective workout delivers all the results you crave and a whole world of others you didn’t know you wanted, including a sharpened connection between the body and mind, and an increase in coordination, mobility, balance and stability.”
Star Power
Pvolve’s innovative method has attracted a wide range of clients, including actress Jennifer Aniston, who has since partnered in the business. Aniston started digital Pvolve workouts after suffering a back injury in 2021. “I have a friend who had been doing Pvolve,” she explains, “and not only did I notice her complete transformation – physically and in her energy level – but she also explained that Pvolve’s functional fitness method respects where your body is at and allows you to work around your current limitations, so you don’t have to wait for full recovery.”

Aniston continued with Pvolve after recovering from her injury, adding in-person training to her streaming workouts. “I saw how broad the workout options are and I was hooked,” she says. Katzman says she was “blown away” by Aniston’s interest. “The fact that someone so advanced in her fitness journey and with access to a world of options fell in love with the method after experiencing its benefits is adream come true.”
Incredible Growth

Partnering with the brand in 2023, Aniston’s focus is on marketing, product development and new programming. As a result of her involvement, Pvolve has experienced a 650% increase in branded searches, a 125% increase in franchise inquiries, and a 40% increase in social media followers. “We just awarded our 40th franchise studio,” Cartwright says.
