Allen Brings 25-Plus Years of Combined Experience in Franchise Restaurant Operations and Commercial Construction
redC Real Estate Design & Construction, a Denver-based consulting firm, has named Shawn Allen vice president of design and construction. Allen provides oversight through design and construction phases for franchise owners, and assists with management of contractors, vendors and budgeting.
“I’m excited to contribute to the leadership team and help our clients achieve their business goals from the ground up,” Allen said. “This role also gives me the chance to bring together the different aspects of my career — franchise operations, commercial construction, executive leadership, real estate and internal operations — and put them to work in a way that creates meaningful impact. My background has taught me how to balance big-picture strategy with the day-to-day details that make or break a project, and how essential clear communication is to keeping franchisees, vendors and partners aligned and confident throughout the process.”
He said the key to redC’s growth is making the development process more predictable and less stressful for franchisees. “With a blend of industry expertise, technology and strong vendor relationships, we can minimize surprises, reduce costs and accelerate timelines. Ultimately, we want franchise owners to stay focused on running their businesses while trusting that their projects are in capable hands.”

Location, Location, Location
One piece of advice Allen has for franchise owners is to look beyond visibility and traffic counts when seeking locations. “Parking availability, accessibility and local demographics are critical factors. It’s also important to assess the condition of the space — HVAC, utilities and ADA compliance, for example — since overlooked issues can create costly surprises. Doing this work up front sets the business up for long-term success.”
Outside of work, Allen values time with his wife, Lindsay, and their three daughters — Brittney, Rachel and Bella. He’s also an avid golfer who loves working on home remodeling and construction projects.
