The Longtime Multi-Unit Franchisee Leads the Nail Care Concept as President
Frenchies Modern Nail Care has promoted industry veteran and multi-unit franchise owner Kayla Bramlet to serve as president. Bramlet previously held the position of director of training and operations for the brand.
Bramlet was just 16 when she began her journey in the nail care industry, working in salons and earning a nail technician license while still in high school. After managing one of Frenchies’ early locations for more than a decade, she invested in a location of her own in 2018 and subsequently acquired a second studio. She will continue as owner and operator of her two Minnesota-based businesses while serving in her new role.
“I invested in Frenchies because I believed in the mission long before I ever thought about ownership,” Bramlet said. “From the beginning, Frenchies stood for something different — cleanliness, professionalism and a better experience for both guests and team members. That wasn’t common in this industry, and it mattered to me. Since then, the brand has matured significantly. We’ve evolved from proving the concept to refining the model with stronger operations, clearer systems, more defined expectations and a deeper focus on profitability for our franchisees. Along the way, we’ve also led innovation in the category, including building one of the first nail care membership programs.”
Bramlet credits her experience as a franchisee for keeping her grounded and giving her perspective. “You understand the realities of entrepreneurship, including staffing challenges, profitability pressures and guest expectations. You know what it actually takes to run a successful studio day-to-day. Every decision we make at the brand level has to work in real life, not just on paper.”
As president, Bramlet is excited to lead the nail care franchise’s next era of growth. “This includes being more intentional about how we scale, how we support franchisees and how we continue to differentiate in a competitive industry. For me, this role is about connecting the dots. Taking everything we know works at the studio level and making sure it translates across the entire system in a way that drives consistency and profitability. My focus is building a brand that is both highly differentiated in experience and highly disciplined in execution. There’s a real opportunity to elevate the brand.”
She said Frenchies’ parent company, Head to Toe Brands, plays an important role in the brand’s growth. “Head to Toe Brands gives us a significant advantage. It allows us to leverage shared resources, data and expertise across multiple brands while still maintaining what makes Frenchies unique. That support helps us move faster, make more informed decisions and invest in areas that directly impact franchisee success. Whether that’s marketing, technology or operational improvements, Head to Toe Brands strengthens our ability to compete without losing our identity.”
Meg Roberts, CEO of Head to Toe Brands, said Bramlet’s promotion is a testament to the opportunities that Frenchies creates for entrepreneurs. “Her firsthand experience as a franchisee, combined with her leadership in building our operational foundation, makes her exceptionally well-suited to lead the brand into its next phase of growth,” Roberts said.
Bramlet plans to lead her team by setting clear expectations and empowering them to achieve defined goals. “I’m also a very hands-on, operator-minded leader,” she said. “I don’t believe in building strategies that don’t work in practice. If it doesn’t translate to the studio level, it’s not the right solution. At the end of the day, leadership is about building something that works and building people up along the way.”
