Event to Feature 100-Plus Exhibitors, Expert Speakers and Key Sessions on Franchise Growth

SUMMARY BOX FINAL
  • Attendees and exhibitors may register now for Franchise Expo West, Sept. 5-6 in Los Angeles.
  • More than 3,000 attendees and 100 exhibitors are expected.
  • Entrepreneurs and franchisors will enjoy networking opportunities and educational events.

MFV Expositions and Comexposium, which produce regional franchise trade shows, have opened registration for attendees and exhibitors wishing to participate in Franchise Expo West at the Los Angeles Convention Center. More than 100 exhibitors, along with more than 20 workshops and panel presentations will combine to make the Sept. 5-6 trade show a valuable resource for an anticipated 3,000-plus entrepreneurs.

Exhibitors are wide-ranging, from relative franchise newcomers to more established brands. Boba Nation, Charley’s Cheesesteaks & Wings, Dream Vacations, French Florist, IHOP, Manna Coffee, McDonald’s, Rosati’s Pizza, Scenthound and The Tutoring Center have already made plans to meet and greet attendees at the Los Angeles show.

Franchise Expo West Agenda

Franchise Expo West has organized several workshops and panel discussions that will be led by high-profile speakers like Dr. John Hayes, the Titus Chair for Franchise Leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University, which has an in-depth franchise business program; Andrew Seid, senior consultant with MSA Worldwide, a global franchise advisory firm; and Andre Kay, founder and CEO of Sociallybuzz, a social media marketing, management and advertising agency for small and medium-size businesses. Key sessions such as the “A to Z’s of Buying a Franchise” and “Franchising Your Business” will be repeated so that attendees can build flexibility into their schedules.

Other Franchise Expo West resources for attendees are:

  • Emerging Brands Pavilion. This area of the convention floor will feature franchise brands that have 10 or fewer units.
  • Business Resource Center. Franchisors can connect with leading vendors and suppliers – think of it as networking central – to strengthen their brands in this site within the trade show.
  • West Unplugged. The Social Geek Radio show will feature live podcast interviews from the trade show floor.

Additional U.S. Franchise Expos

Franchise Expo West is MFV Exposition’s third of four U.S. events in 2025; it has already held trade shows in Charlotte, N.C., and New York City. The last expo on tap in 2025 is Franchise Expo Austin, in Central Texas, which is scheduled for Nov. 14-15. Looking ahead to next year, MFV Expositions has announced it will hold Franchise Expo South Jan. 16-17 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and the International Franchise Expo May 29-30 in New York City.

Martin Joksimovic, president of MFV Expositions, has high expectations for Franchise Expo West. “Out West, no market is more important than the Los Angeles metro area, and we think the timing of this event is to our advantage. In periods of economic uncertainty, when there are doubts about job security and diminishing career advancement opportunities, interest in franchise ownership tends to go up,” so the timing is perfect for aspiring entrepreneurs in the western U.S. “Our role is to play matchmaker and provide attendees with opportunities to explore an entrepreneurial future through franchise ownership,” he added.

Trade shows also serve a vital role for franchisors. Trade show attendees are 72% likelier to buy from an exhibitor they have met at a trade show than from a competitor whom they haven’t met, according to information posted on TradeShowLabs.com. The trade show service provider’s website also states that 93% of trade show attendees consider the events to be a crucial component of their buying decision.

Entrepreneurs and exhibitors may register on the Franchise Expo website. The website also contains information about travel and lodging options.
