Sacramento’s BareBones WorkWear® has teamed with Keen Footwear, Inc. to raise funds for victims of wildfires in Northern California. A GoFundMe account has been established with a goal of $25,000. A third of the goal has already been reached. Funds raised will be donated to the United Way of the Wine Country.
According to Stuart Nelson, BareBones Founder and CEO, a percentage of the retailer’s sales of Keen Footwear will be added to the total raised and matched by Keen.
“Our employees and customers are looking for a way to help those who lost their businesses, their homes, their personal property,” added Nelson, “and sadly, beloved family members. The employees of our stores are eager to help and honored to contribute to our neighbors and friends in the Napa-Santa Rosa area.”
Nelson pointed out that any hardworking first responder, lineman, construction worker, heavy equipment operator, or other blue collar worker who relies on safe and solid workwear, can help by sending a personal donation directly to the GoFundMe page or making their next work shoe purchase a quality boot purchased at participating BareBones WorkWear® stores.
“These shoes are meant for putting out the fires, cleaning up after the fires, and rebuilding,” Nelson said. “If you have compassion for the brothers and sisters in your blue collar industry, this is a simple way to walk the walk in a new pair of Keen shoes and boots while sending a donation to help the victims.”
