Customers Make One Call and Receive Comprehensive Restoration Work
Franchise owners impact their communities in many ways. They create jobs, support local causes, mentor employees and build businesses that become part of the neighborhood. But the comprehensive restoration work that Best Option provides is arguably some of the most impactful.
When a family’s home floods, a fire damages a business or mold threatens a property, people need help fast. Homeowners and business owners are often scared, overwhelmed and unsure what to do next. Best Option Restoration provides water damage restoration, fire damage restoration, mold remediation, storm response and other property restoration services. Founder Nick-Anthony Zamucen (above, right) describes the brand as an emergency response company. “But what we really provide is certainty during uncertainty,” Zamucen says. “We are the calm in the storm.”
The Founding Story
Zamucen founded Best Option Restoration in 2016 after seeing what he believed was a broken restoration industry. Too often, he says, customers were treated like claim numbers during some of the hardest days of their lives. “I saw an industry that was badly broken,” Zamucen says. “Most restoration companies were built around transactions, not people.” He set out to build a restoration company focused on speed, communication, empathy and trust. “From the beginning, the assignment was simple: Show up faster, care more, communicate better and leave people better than we found them,” Zamucen says.
Best Option Restoration also was built on solid economic footing. Its services respond to needs, not wants, and the industry has posted steady growth. According to research data from IBISWorld, revenue generated from the U.S. damage restoration industry has grown at a rate of 4.1% annually, with a total market value of $7.7 billion projected for 2026, which reflects an expected 2.4% increase this year.
Opportunity Knocks
Around the same time, Kyle Chiasson (pictured with Zamucen in main image) was working as a financial planner and private banker. On paper, it was a great career, but not the life he wanted forever. “I had this feeling in my heart and soul that sitting in this office couldn’t be the rest of my life,” Chiasson says.
As fate would have it, he met Zamucen and eventually became Best Option Restoration’s first franchisee. “I was franchise number one, starting in 2017,” Chiasson says. “I owned and operated multiple locations, which gave me a firsthand understanding of what it takes to operate in the property restoration space.”
At the beginning of 2025, Chiasson stepped into the role of president. His journey from franchise owner to brand leader gives him a practical perspective on what owners need in the field. “That full-circle path from owner-operator to company leadership gives me a perspective that I think is genuinely rare,” he says.
One Call
Best Option Restoration franchisees guide customers through every step of the franchise’s comprehensive restoration work, from emergency response through restoration and completion. “We say ‘one call solves it all’ and we mean it,” he says. Franchisees build relationships with homeowners, insurance agents, property managers, plumbers, real estate agents and local business networks. When damage happens, they are already connected to the communities they serve.
“Trust in this industry is built in the moments that count most — and for us, that usually means being there fast, being transparent and following through completely,” with the comprehensive restoration work that Best Options promises to its customers, Chiasson says. “I want Best Option Restoration franchisees to become pillars in their communities,” Zamucen says. “Not only successful business owners, but trusted leaders in their neighborhoods.”
Shared Purpose
Together, Zamucen and Chiasson have built the brand from two different but connected viewpoints. “Kyle is my brother from another mother,” Zamucen says. “He and I share a very aligned vision for where Best Option Restoration is going and what this company is capable of becoming.”
Chiasson says their relationship has grown from mentorship into a partnership. “Having that trust and history makes the work feel less like a job and more like a shared purpose,” he says.
