CertaPro Painters, Hungry Howie’s and Other Leading Franchisors Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Research
Every October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month unites millions worldwide in the fight against a disease that affects 2.3 million women globally — including 1 in 8 women in the U.S., according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The experience of every breast cancer patient is personal, and this year’s theme reinforces their strength and resilience: Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters.
Amplifying the stories of these individuals has been the goal of Breast Cancer Awareness Month since its founding in 1985. At that time, the American Cancer Society initiated a week-long awareness campaign in partnership with Imperial Chemical Industries, a British company that developed the hormone therapy tamoxifen. The campaign eventually grew into the month-long event we know today.
Today, pink merchandise and charitable runs show the collective effort to support breast cancer research and awareness. Franchise brands have been going pink by donating a portion of their sales to cancer research organizations, creating pink-themed promotions and inviting customers to round up their purchases for charity. Below is a compilation of franchise brands giving back for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025.
Breast Cancer Awareness 2025: Franchisors Give Back
CertaPro Painters

The initiative supports lifesaving breast cancer research, with participating franchisees donating a portion of every painting project completed between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30. Since its debut in 2019, Paint It Pink has raised more than $700,000 and continues to make a colorful impact for a meaningful cause.
Grumpy’s Restaurant
Grumpy’s Restaurant has launched its first-ever Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, partnering with The DONNA Foundation. Throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the initiative will be held across all five Northeast Florida Grumpy’s locations and will feature limited-time pink menu items and branded merchandise. Each location will donate 50% of proceeds from all special pink menu items and merchandise sales, while Grumpy’s corporate will donate 100% of royalties and brand fund contributions from these pink menu items. In addition, $2 from every Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt sold will directly benefit The DONNA Foundation.
HTeaO
HTeaO is raising money for breast cancer research by bringing back its October Round-Up campaign benefiting the Ryan Palmer Foundation Breast Cancer Initiative. From Oct. 1–31, HTeaO customers can round their purchase up to the nearest dollar, with 100% of donations going toward the creation of Hope Kits for breast cancer patients currently undergoing treatment.
Each Hope Kit includes fuzzy socks, a tumbler, tea, a Thrive Causemetics product, unscented lotion, lip balm, a HOPE journal and pen, an inspirational bracelet, breast cancer educational resources and a handwritten note from Jennifer Palmer.
Hungry Howie’s
Every October, Hungry Howie’s shows its support for breast cancer awareness with its long-running Love, Hope, & Pizza initiative. During the campaign, the brand serves its signature Flavored Crust pizzas in pink boxes embossed with the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s logo. Since launching the initiative in 2009, Hungry Howie’s has raised nearly $3 million to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Massage Envy
Massage Envy is donating $15,000 to support Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading breast cancer organization. Additionally, Massage Envy franchise locations will feature donation cards at the front desk, encouraging members and guests to scan a QR code to make a direct contribution at Susan G. Komen’s website.
The Human Bean
The Human Bean is inviting guests to “drink pink” on Oct. 17 for the company’s 20th annual Coffee for a Cure breast cancer giveback event. Held each October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Coffee for a Cure aims to raise awareness and provide critical support to breast cancer patients and survivors. The Human Bean has raised over $4.2 million for breast cancer causes since launching the Coffee for a Cure giveback program in 2005. All locations will donate 100% of their food and beverage sales to local foundations.
