October 12, 2012 - Troy, MI – Fleet Enterprises, a fleet maintenance company that provides mobile repair and maintenance services to the transportation industry, has announced that it has awarded a multi-territory franchise agreement to Randall Wilkins of Wilmington, North Carolina, as it continues to expand its franchise network presence throughout the United States.
With exclusive rights to start operating in Charlotte, North Carolina, Mr. Wilkins is the newest Fleet Enterprises franchise owner and is scheduled to open a minimum of five operations over the next five years, with plans to open locations in three states. The first of the new franchised operations is expected to be operating by the middle of the third quarter of this year.
“Our national customers will be pleased to learn of Randall’s future service locations, as it gives us increased presence in the Southeastern region of the country,” said Darin Gross, Co-Owner of Fleet Enterprises. "On top of that, we think Randall is a true business professional and are excited to have him join our team.”
Now residing in Wilmington with his wife and three children, Mr. Wilkins grew up on a farm in North Carolina, and worked his way up in a variety of different companies as a young man. He also studied computer technology in college. His experience includes supervisory and management positions in retail, restaurants, and in the mortgage industry. He has also been a small business owner in a variety of industries, including foodservice, business services, and consumer services; he was a franchise owner in a national hair salon chain, growing from two locations to seven across two states.
Always searching for a solid business opportunity, Mr. Wilkins learned about Fleet Enterprises through contacts in the franchise industry, and says, “Among the various franchise opportunities available out there, Fleet Enterprises stood out for me, due to its impressive growth. I began to research the concept further and ultimately decided it was a great company to get involved with.”
The Fleet Enterprises franchise program was developed to create opportunity for ASE certified truck and trailer technicians that want to become independent business owners, as well as for other business professionals seeking a viable growth opportunity. Mr. Wilkins will be a hands-on business owner and operations manager, and plans to hire on-staff mechanics to help him operate each of his locations.
“I chose Fleet Enterprises because I liked the idea of getting in on the ground floor of a growing concept in a growing market, but without having to reinvent the wheel,” added Mr. Wilkins. “I like that I will be able to follow a system that’s already in place, and am looking forward to opening multiple locations in the near future.”
