August 25, 2012 - (NEW ORLEANS) Aug. 23, 2012 – Last week, lifelong Louisiana residents Doug and Debbie Collins opened the new FASTSIGNS® of Downtown New Orleans at 3001 Tulane Ave.

“When I began considering owning my own business, I first thought that I would open an independent sign shop, but I realized that I didn’t have the tools or the ability to build something from the ground up by myself,” said Doug. “After looking into franchise opportunities, I selected FASTSIGNS based on their history of providing excellent support to their franchise partners.”

Before buying his center, Doug, an Army veteran, worked as the General Manager of purchasing and distribution for Community Coffee. He will oversee the outside sales for the center while Debbie will handle the customer service and center management duties. The couple’s son, Brandon, will manage the graphic design and production responsibilities.

“Before we bought this center, I managed a billing department and I believe that the speed and accuracy required for that position will prove vital in my new role,” explained Debbie. “With our team’s variety of skills and knowledge, I think we will impress our customers with the quality of service and products they receive.”
