July 6, 2011 - Scooters Pizza has taken on an exciting initiative which aims to assist schools nationwide to help them with their own fundraising initiatives and ultimately make a substantial contribution towards educational development in the country. </p><p>With education being a critical foundation in building the youth of South Africa, Scooters Pizza has implemented a school discount card initiative. The goal of this concept is not only for the schools to raise funds to develop and improve their daily environment, but ultimately encourage personal acknowledgement and self-worth in achieving something for the greater good. </p><p>Scooters Pizza recently assisted Laerskool Impala in Kempton Park raise funds, where a cheque of R40 000 was handed over to the school. The significant funds will be utilised in the construction of an extra set of classrooms. </p><p>Christo Calitz, CEO of Taste Holdings Food Division, says that Scooters Pizza welcomes initiatives to help schools realise their long-term fundraising goals.</p><p>“We encourage schools to contact Gabrielle Calitz who heads up this initiative so that we can assist in making their goals a reality.
