November 18, 2009 - As part of his Royal Visit to Canada, His Royal Highness met with 21 young entrepreneurs from across Canada, as well as mentors and community partners connected to Canadian Youth Business Foundation at a session at the 2010 Winter Games Olympic Village. Among the select group were Moncton-based PropertyGuys.com represented by President/CEO Ken LeBlanc and Chief Operating Officer Dale Betts.

"It really was quite an honor to get to talk with Prince Charles when you consider if there was a list of the 20 most recognized people on the planet, he might very well crack the Top Ten", offered LeBlanc. "It was also refreshing to see that His Royal Highness was very much up to speed on the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs, and in fact played a major role in the initial creation of CYBF, which is based on a model out of the United Kingdom".

For his part, Betts observed, "Security was unreal, but once you got past all of the protocol, it was a joy to discover that this guy we know from television and the tabloids is actually pretty down to earth. Although we were only able to chat for about ten minutes or so, it was clear to us that Prince Charles had an unusual grasp of the issues as well as a common touch that made him easy to talk to", explained Betts.

"Entrepreneurs are a critical component of our country's economic future and the lifeblood of Canada's communities, said Vivian Prokop, Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Youth Business Foundation. "We are honored to be recognized as a leading member of the Prince's Youth Business International by our Patron, HRH The Prince of Wales, and to showcase the important work of CYBF through the entrepreneurial excellence of young Canadians, mentors and volunteers. "

In addition to the entrepreneurial showcase, several Canadian business icons met with His Royal Highness. Those in attendance included John Risley, Chairman of Clearwater Fine Foods and Chairman of CYBF; David Aisenstat, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Keg Steakhouse & Bar; David Stewart- Patterson, Executive Vice President of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives; Catherine Swift, Chairwoman, President and CEO of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business; Gwyn Morgan, Founding President and Chief Executive Officer of EnCana Corporation, and Tracy Redies, President and Chief Executive Officer of Coast Capital Savings.

The Honourable Gordon Campbell, Premier of British Columbia, and the Honourable Iain Black, British Columbia's Minister of Small Business, Technology and Economic Development, were also in attendance.
