February 11, 2009 - Kitchen Tune-Up, the creator of proprietary surface reconditioning technology for updating kitchens and baths, has awarded Tom Taube, Charlotte, NC franchise owner along with his wife Debi, with its Spirit of Success award for 2008.

The honor was presented at Kitchen Tune-Up’s annual convention, January 26th in Las Vegas, NV. The Spirit Award goes to the franchise owner who most lives out the entrepreneurial spirit of franchising through their business efforts. They must be willing to help out others in many aspects, concerned for the health and well-being of the system as a whole, in addition to the health of their own franchise.

Six owners are nominated, one from each region of the country. Of those six, one is chosen through a vote by Kitchen Tune-Up’s franchise advisory council. Gary Stoltz, the regional council representative who nominated Taube states "Tom is the kind of guy who will go out of his way to help another franchise. He is always willing to share his knowledge with others and it is obvious to anyone that knows him that he is the epitome of a true professional. He's the type of person that this award was created for."
