January 30, 2008 - DALLAS – Anne Barr, President of The Franchise Network in Dallas announced today that the 2008 DFW Franchise Expo is opening registration to additional franchise systems. The Expo will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 9am to 4pm at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. The Franchise Network is a Supplier Member of the International Franchise Association. Anne Barr is a CFE candidate with IFA.

Franchising in Texas is big business. According to the International Franchise Association, Texas is the second largest franchising state with 59,291 franchised businesses. Texas franchises employ 756,568 people with a yearly payroll over $17 billion and an economic output of $48 billion.

“After the tremendous success of the 2007 DFW Franchise Expo, we are expanding our show and would like to invite additional Franchisors to participate. Last year we hosted 44 different franchise concepts and had over 1,000 prospective franchisees attend from Texas and surrounding areas. We are looking for quality franchise systems that want to expand into Texas” says Anne Barr who produces the event.
