July 30, 2005 - BOSTON, Mass – Snip-its, a franchise organization of unique and creative hair care salons that cater specifically to children, opened its 25th salon in Buckhead, GA on July 16. This salon opening marks a period of exceptional growth for The Snip-its Corporation, a franchise group that in its first 20 months has opened 20 franchised salons and licensed more than 73.
Steven and Elizabeth Tralongo, owners of the new Buckhead salon, are also exceptional members of the Snip-its franchise group. The Tralongos opened the very first Snip-its franchise salon in Norcross, GA in December of 2003.
“It is a genuine privilege to be able to say that we opened not only the first Snip-its franchise but also the 25th salon,” said Elizabeth Tralongo, owner of three Georgia Snip-its salons in Norcross, Marietta and Buckhead. “It is a testament to the Snip-its brand that we were so successful in our first venture that we opened a second and now a third salon. The customers see the value and competitive advantage that Snip-its offers.”
Snip-its was originally conceived in 1993 by Joanna Meiseles and the first Company-owned salon opened in September of 1995 in Framingham, Massachusetts. Snip-its began its thriving franchise program in 2003 after five Company-owned salons proved to be successful in the Boston area. 25 salons are currently operating in 11 states with 15 more salons expected to open by the end of 2005.
“2005 has proven to be a tremendous year for Snip-its in terms of growth and recognition,” said Joanna Meiseles, President and Founder of Snip-its. “We are thrilled that franchisees like the Tralongos believe so strongly in the Snip-its brand. They opened our first franchised salon and now our 25th salon company-wide, thus proving our brand has the growth potential we always envisioned for it. We look forward to opening more stores in Georgia and across the country.”
