May 9, 2005 - Vancouver, Wash. – Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza, the world’s largest and fastest growing take-and-bake pizza chain, announces the promotions of Dick Larsen to Vice President of Development and Jenny Pettit to Regional Vice President of Operations. The Vice President of Development post is a newly created position; both Larsen and Pettit will assist with the company's vigorous expansion plans of an estimated 115 new locations in 2005.

The company’s recapitalization by Charlesbank Capital Partners in 2004 and a recent increase in experienced multi-unit operators positions Papa Murphy's to continue this aggressive growth trend through the next five years. Key markets that have been identified for expansion include Chicago; Denver; Detroit; Indianapolis; Kansas City, Mo.; Louisville, Ky.; Minneapolis; San Francisco and Sacramento, Calif.; Salt Lake City; St. Louis; and Wichita, Kan. In addition, growth is slated for major markets in Texas, Ohio and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

"The expertise that both individuals bring to these positions will play a key role in the structure and development of all our future store openings," said President Mark Laramie. "Dick has been responsible for site selection and has been a driving force for our growth in new markets, and Jenny has been instrumental in the development and implementation of many of our operations and training systems. Larsen assumes the Vice President of Development title after seven years with Papa Murphy's. In the new position, his responsibilities include analysis and definition of new markets as well as selection and construction of new store locations. His previous experience with Papa Murphy's included the positions of Real Estate Manager and Director of Real Estate – Central

Region. Before joining Papa Murphy's in 1998, Larsen worked as a project manager for IBM for 25 years. He holds a bachelor's degree from Moorhead State University.

Pettit began her career at the company more than 20 years ago with Papa Aldo's Pizza, which was purchased by Papa Murphy's in 1990. Because of her long-time knowledge of the company's history and the take-and-bake concept, Pettit is able to consistently generate strong ideas for new programs that are in alignment with the values and vision of Papa Murphy’s. Her previous roles with the company include Franchise Consultant and Training Director; she served most recently as Senior District Operations Manager for the Northwest District.
