Onus Launches Expansion Aimed at Inspiring People to Live Better, Longer Lives
Onus, a physician-led franchise focused on helping people live healthier, longer lives, has partnered with franchise development leader Fransmart to grow the wellness franchise to 500 locations nationwide over the next decade. Now in six corporate-owned locations, with another scheduled to open in early 2025, Onus offers personalized IV therapy, hormone therapy and in-location lab testing.
Founded in 2015 by Ben Wilks, M.D., Kristy Anderson and Chaz Faulhaber, Colorado-based Onus has served more than 60,000 clients with evidence-based treatments aimed at providing greater energy, vitality and overall health, tracked through on-site lab testing.
“What began as a solution for Colorado athletes has evolved into a full-service, longevity-focused model that inspires everyone to live better, longer,” says Faulhaber, who serves as chief marketing officer. “The name \’Onus\’ is all about taking responsibility for your health and making that first choice toward a healthier life. We\’ve created an experience that encourages clients to actively engage in proactive care, knowing they\’ve chosen a partner they can trust on their health journey.”
An Innovative Wellness Franchise
IV hydration therapy, also known as infusion therapy, is used to rehydrate the body intravascularly, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract. Onus offers a focused range of services, including vitamin IV therapy, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+, which is found in the body’s cells but diminishes with age) treatments, a premium supplement and electrolyte line, and intramuscular injections. These services are available individually, through Onus’s monthly membership program, or through its signature Longevity Packs. All treatments are administered by board-certified emergency nurses and nurse practitioners, and overseen by a board-certified emergency physician.

The atmosphere at Onus locations is calming with nature-inspired décor, comfortable seating (including hammocks at some locations), flatscreen TVs, WiFi, snacks and refreshments.
“The market has long been split between medical offices and spas, leaving a gap for something that feels more personal and approachable while focused on results,” Anderson says. “Over the past decade, we’ve optimized our model to drive revenue through efficient buildouts, strong medical teams and a robust membership program. Partnering with Fransmart will take our franchise to the next level, giving franchisees unmatched support as we expand this fresh approach to longevity across the country.”
Growth Potential for a Wellness Franchise
Consider the following:
- The U.S. wellness market has reached $480 billion, growing at 5-10% a year, and 82% of U.S. consumers consider wellness a top or important priority in their everyday lives, according to McKinsey & Company.
- The global intravenous solutions market was valued at $13 billion in 2023 and expected to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 7.5% through 2032, according to Global Market Insights.
- The global complementary and alternative medicine for anti-aging and longevity market size was estimated at $63.60 billion in 2023 and expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 21.5% from 2024 to 2030, according to Grand View Research, which reported that the growth is driven by increasing awareness of holistic well-being and a growing aging population. As people seek alternative approaches to maintain their health and youthfulness, the demand for these therapies is expected to surge, contributing to market expansion, Grand View reported.
“Onus is the next-level vitality and longevity franchise – simpler to operate, with lower opening costs, an unbeatable membership model and much better margins than the competition,” says Dan Rowe, CEO of Fransmart. “They\’ve flipped the script on the industry. Members return month after month because they trust Onus to deliver results no one else can match.”
