Jaschek Breaks through Barriers to Empower the Next Generation
“Impossible is just an opinion.” Uli Jaschek, CEO of Bosch Auto Service, keeps this mantra on a refrigerator magnet, but it’s unlikely she needs the reminder. “I was raised to believe anything you want to do you can do,” says Jaschek, who leads Bosch’s automotive franchise division. And she strives to instill that same self-confidence in others, not only by empowering entrepreneurs through franchising, but also by mentoring the next generation of leaders at Bosch locations around the U.S.
Jaschek’s career with Bosch began in 2001 as a part-time student worker in Reutlingen, Germany, while working her way through Reutlingen University where she earned her MBA in 2007. She ascended the ranks to lead the launch and ultimately take the helm as CEO of Bosch Automotive Services in 2022. She now lives and works in Chicago.
She says her decision-making is guided by “integrity, transparency and a commitment to long-term, collaborative growth – always prioritizing trust, ethical choices and sustainable success for our franchise partners.”
Among her numerous honors, which include those for performance with Bosch, Jaschek, a certified franchise professional, was named 2019 Mentor of the Year by Nobscot Corporation’s Mentor Scout division. Comments in her nomination included this: “Uli is a strong, confident woman who coaches others toward owning their careers. Every young professional woman needs a Uli in her corner.”
Breaking Through Barriers
Jaschek acknowledges that challenges exist for women in male-dominated industries, “but I’ve overcome them by building credibility, leaning on strong support networks, and driving change through mentorship and advocacy. Being a female leader in the automotive industry means breaking barriers, inspiring inclusion and empowering the next generation.”
As CEO of the automotive franchise, she says more women in leadership “results in diverse perspectives that drive innovation, strengthen teams and better reflect today’s global customer base — leading to stronger outcomes across the board.”
Automotive Franchise Opportunities
The U.S. auto repair market is projected to reach $90.6 billion in 2025, according to IBISWorld, and it will continue to boom as car prices increase, prompting people to keep their vehicles longer. Older cars need more repairs and reliable maintenance, and that’s great news for Bosch Auto Service franchise owners, Jaschek says.
Bosch Auto Service offers franchisees the strength of a trusted global brand, backed by decades of automotive excellence. “With comprehensive support — from training and diagnostics to marketing and business development — our franchise partners are equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry,” she says. “By harnessing Bosch’s commitment to technological excellence and sustainable mobility, we enable franchisees to adopt forward-thinking solutions that keep them ahead of industry trends and consistently deliver exceptional value to customers.”
Jaschek says she looks for franchise partners who share the values of integrity, customer focus and a drive for excellence. “An entrepreneurial mindset, adaptability and a collaborative spirit are essential to building long-term success together,” she says.
