Christine Tang enjoys helping her customers improve their appearance and well-being with the innovative services at her dermani MEDSPA franchise. The mother of two invested in the beauty and wellness brand for its tremendous opportunity. “The med spa industry is growing rapidly. I could see increasing acceptance in the investment people are willing to spend on treatments,” she says.

According to the company’s website, dermani MEDSPA leverages a growing $20 billion industry that’s expected to increase by double digits in the years to come. Tang was impressed with dermani’s membership model along with its many services and revenue streams. She also appreciated the company’s commitment to safe procedures.

Tang opened her Dunwoody, Ga., location in August 2021 and has found it both challenging and rewarding. “My greatest challenge as a female entrepreneur is finding balance. I often feel like I am being pulled in a million different directions at once,” she says. “Creating effective management systems and processes has helped me improve my work-life balance.”

Meeting other female entrepreneurs through business and networking groups for women has been extremely helpful for her. Tang advises female entrepreneurs to seek out mentors and surround themselves with positive, supportive people. “Always remind yourself how far you’ve come to carry yourself through the long road to the top,” she says. “I tell myself every day to have a positive attitude, regulate emotions, and never let a small dose of failure keep me from moving full speed ahead.”
