Corp Has Wealth of Experience in Franchise Development and Sales

Steve Corp, the new chief growth officer for WOWorks, brings extensive franchise development and sales experience to the position. WOWorks is the parent company of Saladworks, Frutta Bowls, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh, The Simple Greek, Barberitos and Z!Eats. WOWorks also has hired one of Corp’s former colleagues, Joel Bulger, to serve as chief marketing officer.

All WOWorks brands “address the changing consumer and demographic needs, which will help us retain existing guests and attract new ones,” Corp said. He added that he looks forward to collaborating with CEO Kelly Roddy and Bulger, whom he worked with at GoTo Foods (formerly Focus Brands). Together Bulger and Corp helped Moe’s Southwest Grill expand from 200-plus locations to more than 800. Roddy said his C-suite team will advance WOWorks’ mission of providing customers with plant-forward, good-for-you meals.

Franchising and Growth

Corp’s work in franchising is major change from his earlier career in civil engineering. He made the switch to franchise sales after several friends entered the franchising space. A graduate of Syracuse University, Corp has served as senior vice president of franchise sales at CoreLife Eatery, vice president of franchise sales at Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill and vice president of franchise sales at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. In these positions, Corp has learned that franchisors’ growth requires them to “focus on their franchisees and strive to make them more satisfied and more profitable.”
