The Seasoned Franchise Executive Will Share Her Knowlege Through a New Franchise Master Class

Stay in Your Lane, a business consulting and services company, tapped Marci DuBois as fractional executive of franchise development mentorship and consulting. With this fractional role, DuBois will leverage her franchising knowledge to drive success for both the company and its clients.

“I am tremendously excited about the prospect of helping emerging franchisors across diverse industries achieve their growth ambitions. Collaborating with a passionate team of professionals who share my enthusiasm for the world of franchising is a dream come true. I hope to make a difference in the lives of both my colleagues and clients, sharing the wealth of knowledge and experience I’ve accumulated over the years,” DuBois said. She added that she’s eager to give back and contribute to franchising’s continuous evolution and success.

With a desire for both balance and challenge in her career, she was intrigued by the possibilities of fractional employment with Stay in Your Lane. She was also attracted to the company’s social media presence and her past experiences with president Patti Rother. In collaboration with Rother, DuBois is rolling out a Franchise Development Master Class. For DuBois, hosting this class is a fulfilling endeavor. She is excited to share invaluable knowledge and lend a professional helping hand to organizations that may lack the infrastructure to support a full-time executive. “It embodies the spirit of collaboration and growth, ensuring that more ventures can flourish within the franchising landscape.”

Rother looks forward to working with the franchising veteran. “I’ve looked up to Marci for years. Her knowledge, experience and dedication to franchising are unparalleled. This is a full-circle moment for me.”

Founder and CEO Ingrid Schneider released a statement regarding DuBois’ position. “With her strategic vision and innate understanding of the franchising landscape, Marci has driven substantial success for all companies and individuals she has worked alongside. Her commitment to fostering meaningful relationships over transactions sets her apart, and we’re thrilled to have her bring that knowledge, expertise and compassion to our team and our clients.”

Stay In You Lane’s team has expanded with the recent additions of Nick Pope as director of AI and Amanda Barker as creative director.

Mentorship and Coaching

Throughout her career, DuBois has been inspired by the many mentors who have profoundly shaped her journey, including Yum! Brands CEO, Greg Creed, former Sir Speedy Printing franchise president Dan Lowe and ClearPath Solutions CEO Helen Lao. Through mentorship and coaching, DuBois hopes to guide aspiring individuals and instill in them the invaluable lessons that have been passed down to her. “It’s a rewarding endeavor that pays homage to the wisdom and support I’ve received along my own path and allows for my continued growth and development.”

Franchisee-Franchisor Relationship

Prior to joining Stay in Your Lane, DuBois spent most of her career at Taco Bell, a brand under the Yum! Brands umbrella. While at Taco Bell, DuBois experienced the gold standard in franchisee-franchisor relationships and was able to build upon that. She loves working with franchisees because she gets to watch them grow and build relationships. “In the world of franchising, I have not only found my calling but also the means to help others embark on their own transformative journeys.”

In her experience, finding the right franchise is not easy, but she believes that qualified candidates should find an industry, brand and operation they are passionate about before investing. She believes there should also be a mutual respect between the entrepreneur and franchisor.
