Spavia Names Karyn White Director of Franchise Development

White Values the Luxury Spa Franchise’s People-First Culture

Spavia, a luxury spa concept, has named Karyn White director of franchise development. In this role, she oversees the spa franchise’s nationwide expansion.

White said she was drawn to Spavia because of the company’s people-first culture and commitment to service. After meeting founders Marty and Allison Langenderfer, she said she realized Spavia’s values aligned with hers. “This alignment was a significant factor in my decision to join the team,” she said.

White added that Spavia’s dedication to offering guests an affordable, relaxing spa experience positions the brand as a leader in the wellness space. “This positioning not only sets us apart but also presents significant expansion opportunities. I’m thrilled to be part of a company poised for tremendous growth and to contribute to its success.”

Quotes from Leadership Team

Marty Langenderfer said White’s wealth of franchise experience and passion for the wellness industry make her a great addition to the team. “Her expertise in building strong franchisee relationships and driving unit growth will play a pivotal role as we continue to expand and bring exceptional spa offerings to even more communities across the country,” Langenderfer said.

Echoing his sentiments, COO Courtney Allison said White’s proven track record in franchise sales will be instrumental in Spavia’s expansion. “As we enter the next phase of growth for Spavia, we’re thrilled to welcome Karyn White to the team as our new director of franchise development,” Allison said.

Passion for Connection

White’s professional journey began in the automotive industry at a Saturn location in Aurora, Colo., where she honed her skills in sales and client relations. She said the experience of being one of the few women in a male-dominated industry made her resilient.

After dedicating time to her family and working in the nonprofit sector, White said she discovered her passion for connecting with people and facilitating their success. “Franchising, with its emphasis on relationships, offered the perfect blend of challenge and opportunity. I relish the chance to work with a diverse range of individuals across the country, helping them align with opportunities that fit their ambitions and lifestyles.”

White said her experience as director of franchise development for Franchise FastLane equipped her with an understanding of essential franchising processes because of her direct involvement with developing marketing materials, managing SEO, and organizing Discovery Days. Her time in the nonprofit sector as a volunteer manager of There With Care also enhanced her relationship-building skills, White said.

Keys to Success

White cited consistency and a genuine care for candidates as keys to franchise success. “We emphasize the importance of supporting our candidates as they navigate the franchising process, ensuring they feel equipped and confident at every step. Ideal candidates are those with a passion for service and a genuine love for engaging with people.”

In addition to helping entrepreneurs realize their dreams, White is a passionate gardener and enjoys spending time with her three sons on the golf course. Living in Colorado, she also loves hiking and exploring the outdoors.
