Horse Power Brands Acquires Heroes Holiday Lighting

Blingle! franchise

Lighting Installation Service to be Rebranded as Blingle!, with Expanded Repertoire

Horse Power Brands has added to its service-based umbrella company by acquiring Heroes Holiday Lighting, which will be rebranded as Blingle!. Horse Power Brands plans to broaden the offerings of the Blingle! franchise to include including lighting for landscapes, patios, weddings, parties and other events.

In addition to holiday lighting services, Blingle! franchises will offer lighting services for landscapes, patios, weddings, parties and other events.

The Blingle! franchise offering is scheduled to begin by Nov. 14, with Horse Power hoping to award at least 125 territories during the first 12 months. To ensure that franchisees do not face supply-chain lags or material shortages, the Horse Power Brands team has acquired a wholesale lighting distribution company, according to a company news release.

Horse Power Brands partners Josh Skolnick and Zachery Beutler, both of whom have experience in franchising, see significant growth potential in the services industry. Horse Power acquired its first brand, Mighty Dog Roofing, a commercial and residential roof repair and replacement franchise, in 2020. Mighty Dog – which also handles gutter and siding work, window and skylight installation, and storm repairs – has awarded 150 territories to 43 franchisees across 18 states since launching development just this year.

Skolnick sees a rosy future for Blingle!. “We knew it was the perfect time to acquire a lighting business due to the ongoing demand and need for the service not just during the holiday season, but year-round,” he said. “There is a huge opportunity to fill a niche in the rapidly growing segment – and we’ve found an absolute perfect match with the Heroes Holiday Lighting team.”

For 20-plus years, Nebraska-based Heroes Holiday Lighting has handled lighting assignments for families, businesses and municipalities. By expanding the portfolio of services offered by Blingle!, the brand will keep franchisees busily generating income year-round.

Heroes Holiday Lighting founder Mike Marlow praised Horse Power for bringing “the leadership, systems, and infrastructure we need to propel this brand to nationwide growth. As the founder, it is important for me to feel confident that we’ll not only expand the business in size, but also provide consistent support to help our franchisees succeed from day one. Josh and Zach’s commitment to responsible franchising aligns with our values and vision for the future of Blingle!.”
