Cabinet Restoration and Repair Brand Sells Out in 7 Metro Areas

SUMMARY BOX FINAL
  • By mid-February 2026, Renew Medic had already recorded a banner year in terms of franchises awarded. The REP’M Group is assisting with the franchise’s expansion.
  • Founded in 2024, the Renew Medic franchise has sold out in seven metropolitan areas where more than 100 million Americans live.
  • The brand provides a fast turnaround on cabinet restoration, repairs, refinishing, painting, refacing, emergency cabinet removal and new cabinets.
  • The Renew Medic franchise works with insurance companies, adjusters and homeowners.

The Renew Medic franchise, which removes, restores and reinstalls cabinets, has sizzled with growth this year. By mid-February, the franchisor has awarded nearly all of its available territory in eight metro areas: Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Fla.; Houston, Texas; Miami, Fla.; North Boston, Mass. to Portland, Maine; Philadelphia, Pa.; San Antonio, Texas; Wilmington, N.C. and Portland, Ore.

Launched in 2024, the Renew Medic franchise specializes in revitalizing cabinets damaged by water or fire. Franchisees work with insurance carriers, adjusters and homeowners to save as much as 65% of the cost as compared to completely replacing cabinets. Jobs are quick, too, lasting only about three weeks. Specific services include emergency cabinet removal, refinishing, painting, refacing (new doors and drawer fronts) and manufacturing of new cabinetry.

Why Choose the Renew Medic Franchise?

Mike Pearce, Chief Development Officer of Renew Medic, identifies four factors behind the surging growth of franchise units, with the brand’s development nurtured by REP’M Group, a full-service franchise development company. “First, there’s greater uncertainty in the economic outlook and a diminished belief that a job will get you to retirement safely, driving many to stop relying on corporate America to build their nest eggs. Our owners increasingly believe franchising as the better way to achieve their financial goals,” Pearce says.

“Another thing is that the service we have invented here at Renew Medic is becoming a major disruption in the disaster restoration and insurance industries. Insurance companies are looking for innovative companies that take a new approach to solving an age-old problem with cost savings and speed of service. Insurance companies are suffering the same as everyone else – likely more than most – with the meteoric rise in costs. They are laser-focused on ways to control expenses.”

A third factor: Cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology streamlines entrepreneurs’ evaluation of the franchise, Pearce says. “New AI tools allow for prospective franchisees to more effectively and efficiently perform due diligence in ways that were not available in the past.”

Detailed information allows them to assess risks and rewards on their own terms and not rely on others. This builds confidence. Finally, brand momentum is contagious, he says. “Seeing so many others find the Renew Medic opportunity compelling and real has a very positive impact on candidates’ confidence in making the move.”

REP’M Group’s Perspective

REP'M Group and Renew Medic franchise

Storm Miller (above, bright shirt), director of franchise development for REP’M Group, says there’s a flip side of AI that’s driving interest in the brand. “There’s an incredible market demand for differentiated, proven, service-oriented franchise opportunities that have very little threat of competition from AI. This brand checks so many boxes for those looking to step away from corporate America and into business ownership for the first time.”

Candidates also are impressed by Renew Medic’s state-of-the-art processes, the brand’s leaders, referrals from large insurance companies and the ability to scale to a multimillion-dollar operation, Miller says. “Renew Medic’s leadership team – Pearce and CEO Chris Gammill – have a combined six decades of experience in leading the nation’s premier franchise systems, and Renew Medic is capitalizing on a revolutionary cabinet removal and restoration process that was navigated, standardized and perfected within the Furniture Medic franchise system.” (Renew Medic is a spinoff from the 34-year-old Furniture Medic franchise.)

Renew Medic’s Mission

As one of those two seasoned leaders, Pearce knows the importance of adhering to the franchisor’s twofold mission:

  • Franchisee support, especially in the early days. “We must launch new franchisees successfully with services that support hiring. We help with 120 hours of technical training, real estate selection, shop setup, hands-on opening support, and – very importantly – sales training and support. If we have franchisees excelling right out of the gate, validation will be strong and franchisees will be financially healthy with means to grow their business.”
  • Driving revenue through Renew Medic’s insurance program work. “We have hired excellent employees who will grow our stable of insurance companies that are excited about our services and will feed work to our franchisees.”

Those two priorities support the symbiosis between the franchisor and its owners, Pearce says. “The Renew Medic franchise has the potential to be a billion-dollar business if we carefully choose franchisees and provide the systems and support to meet their needs. As we continue to build out our services, insurance companies will see even more compelling reasons to feed us work.”

Looking Ahead

Cabinet refinishing services billed about $100 billion globally in 2023, according to Verified Market Research, and the market should grow at 10% annually, reaching nearly $234 billion by 2031.

The Renew Medic franchise will prosper within that market, Pearce predicts. “We just crossed the milestone of 100 million Americans covered by territories that we’ve sold. As we continue to grow, brand recognition will make it easier for future franchisees to launch their businesses and succeed.”

Miller agrees that the franchise’s growth and customer base will snowball. “The launch of our branches all over the country will help Renew Medic create more national program work with insurance carriers and disaster restoration companies. I’ve never worked with a brand where the growth of the system is so mutually beneficial between the franchisee and franchisor.”
