Dobelbower is Optimistic about the Hydraulic and Industrial Hose Franchise’s Growth Potential

PIRTEK USA, a business-to-business, on-site and retail hydraulic and industrial hose service provider, has tapped John Dobelbower as vice president of franchise development. The announcement comes as the hydraulic and industrial hose franchise experiences explosive growth.

“There’s a significant amount of room for growth, which is particularly exciting,” Dobelbower said of PIRTEK USA. “My interest in the company was further solidified when Princeton Equity Group became its equity sponsor. Princeton’s unmatched investment success in the franchising space, with brands including Massage Envy, D1 Training and Five Star Franchising, gave me absolute certainty that the PIRTEK brand was not only in good hands but also poised for responsible growth,” he said.

Dobelbower said he is excited about the opportunity to work alongside an experienced leadership team and to develop systems that evaluate potential franchisees. He added that he’s optimistic that the hydraulic and industrial hose industry’s vast potential customer base will contribute to PIRTEK franchisees’ success. “The combination of innovative systems, expert collaboration and a thriving market makes this role particularly thrilling and promising.”

CEO Kim Gubera said she has confidence in Dobelbower’s capability to take the brand forward. “John’s unique perspective, skills and proven ability to scale a franchise business makes him the perfect person for us to achieve and exceed our growth objectives and ensure our unmatched services are available in as many communities as possible.”

Perspective of an Independent Entrepreneur

Dobelbower previously served as director of franchise development for the Neighborly family of brands before joining the PIRTEK team. During that time, he led The Grounds Guys brand and launched Lawn Pride. Dobelbower, who previously owned an independent scrap metal recycling business, quickly grew to appreciate the structured systems and support that franchising provides to entrepreneurs.

“This community ensures that no one feels isolated while trying to launch their business. Franchising allows people to pursue the American dream of business ownership with a robust support network,” he said. “This makes franchising particularly rewarding, as owners that I have helped get into business for themselves over the years continually call me with stories about how that decision helped change their lives and helped them achieve their dreams and goals.”

Dobelbower advises people interested in franchising to determine their “why” because business ownership is about more than making a profit. “Understanding this emotional drive is crucial because, as the saying goes, ‘If you know your why, you can endure any how.” Understanding one’s own motivations enhances the ability to help others make meaningful decisions, he said.

Dobelbower is a proud Texas A&M alumnus who enjoys time with his family and has a passion for cars.
