Every May, we celebrate Mother’s Day to show the moms, stepmoms, and grandmothers in our lives appreciation for all that they do. To bring in more business and foot traffic, franchise brands are going big on discounts, gift card deals and special promotions.
With Mother’s Day 2023 spending expected to reach $35.7 billion, franchisors will likely see an increase in sales with fun, mom-centric offerings. Below is a sampling of some of the specials that franchisors are offering this Mother’s Day 2023.

Applebee’s
In commemoration of Mother’s Day 2023 and the Spring season, Applebee’s has a gift card deal. Customers who purchase a $50 gift card receive a bonus $10 gift card.
Auntie Anne’s
Auntie Anne’s is celebrating Mother’s Day 2023 and springing into the new season with a special deal for rewards members. On Mother’s Day, the pretzel franchise is offering BOGO 50% off any pretzel item or drink.
Build-A-Bear
Looking to get the moms in your life more than just cards and flowers for Mother’s Day 2023? Build-A-Bear gives customers a lasting way to celebrate moms with customizable stuffed animals. Guests can utilize the Record Your Voice option instore or online, and the brand also offers Mother’s Day HeartBoxes. In addition to a teddy bear, these boxes include candles, journals, tumblers, or tea. Build-A-Bear will give up to 30% off Mother’s Day gifts online.
Del Taco
Del Taco is giving guests multiple ways to make mom smile this Mother’s Day 2023. From May 8-14, guests get 20% off their next order when they buy an eGift Card. This offer is only valid at DelTacoGiftCards.com. Additionally, customers get a free regular-sized shake with any purchase during Mother’s Day weekend. This deal is good for Del Yeah! Rewards members.
El Pollo Loco
Mom doesn’t have to cook during Mother’s Day week. From May 10-16, El Pollo Loco is offering the $25 12-piece leg and thigh family meal for Loco Rewards members. From May 10-14, guests get a free 8-piece chicken leg and thigh meal when they buy a $50 eGift card. They will be emailed a coupon, which can be redeemed online only.
Fazoli’s
Fazoli’s is turning Mother’s Day 2023 into a week-long event. From May 8-14, guests can enjoy a free brownie with any $5 purchase.
Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa
What mom wouldn’t want the gift of a spa day for Mother’s Day 2023? Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa will give a free facial gift card to guests who purchase a spa package. The offer is valid in-store only through May 15.
Jamba
From May 12-14, Jamba loyalty members get 20% off orders $25 and under. The juice franchise is also offering a smoothie-inspired nail polish collection while supplies last.
Jet’s Pizza
For those craving pizza this Mother’s Day 2023, Jet’s Pizza has got them covered. On Mother’s Day only, the pizza franchise is allowing guests to enjoy 20% off all menu-priced pizzas for both pickup and delivery. Use the code MOM23 on online orders.
KFC
To show moms some love, KFC is giving 12 free chicken nuggets to guests who purchase the Nuggets of Appreciation meal from May 10 (Día de las Madres) through May 14. In addition to the free chicken nuggets, the meal consists of eight pieces of extra crispy chicken tenders or chicken on the bone, two large sides, four biscuits and sauces. There is also a free, downloadable Mother’s Day card, available in both English and Spanish. This offer is only for online and app orders. According to a press release, nearly 400,000 buckets of KFC chicken are sold every Mother’s Day.
Marble Slab Creamery
Marble Slab Creamery is allowing guests to satisfy mom’s sweet tooth with a deal of $5 off an 8’ (or larger) ice cream cake with code MOM23 on online orders. This deal is available at participating locations through Mother’s Day 2023.

O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar
This Mother’s Day 2023, O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar is opening an hour earlier (10 a.m.) to give early birds the chance to celebrate mom at breakfast. From May 12-14, the full-service restaurant franchise is offering a special menu with three new items and three fan favorites. The new items are the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl (above), Salted Caramel Cheesecake, and a Strawberry Rosé Spritz.
Round Table Pizza
During Mother’s Day weekend, customers can get 15% off their online and in-app order at participating locations. The pizza franchise is also offering heart-shaped pizza for the special occasion.
