McDonald Joined the Umbrella Franchisor as Director of Brand Marketing for Altitude Trampoline Park in 2021

Indoor Active Brands has promoted Jessica McDonald to vice president of marketing for Altitude Trampoline Park. She had joined the franchise as director of brand marketing in 2021. Using her digital marketing, sales, copywriting, editing and multimedia skills, McDonald has driven key initiatives for Altitude, including membership programs, birthday parties, gift card sales and product development. In her new role, she’ll shape Altitude’s marketing strategy across platforms such as Reels, LinkedIn and TikTok.

She approaches her work from the franchisee’s perspective while maintaining an emphasis on reaching consumers like herself. “I make most of my family’s weekend plans and decide how to spend our discretionary income, so I see the impact of the brand’s efforts to connect with families like mine. We’ve really focused our products and campaigns on affordable free play and no-stress, value-driven parties and celebrations.

“I’ve always been drawn to family entertainment, so joining Altitude felt like a natural fit for me. As a mother of four very active kids, I’ve been part of the brand’s target demographic for years, which only made the industry even more appealing. I understand firsthand the importance of creating fun and engaging experiences for families while making it affordable for a group.”

To keep customers having as much fun as possible, Altitude has partnered with Intelliplay and Batfast to bring new technology into its locations, McDonald said. “We are constantly working to create an environment that evolves with the needs of our guests. Seeing these changes take shape and watching our parks become even more vibrant is something I’m really thrilled about.”

Mike Rotondo, CEO of the Indoor Active Brands franchisor portfolio, complimented McDonald on her contributions to Altitude’s growth. “It’s always rewarding to promote from within, and we’re thrilled to recognize Jessica’s hard work with this well-deserved promotion,” Rotondo said.

The Power of Marketing

McDonald brings a diverse business background to her new role. She’s been sales director of private events at ClubCorp, sales and events manager at Main Event Entertainment, and marketing business development director for Chemical Information Services. McDonald also has owned and operated a cleaning franchise. “My husband and I ran the cleaning business together, which helped us to understand the challenges and rewards of being a small business owner.”

She views marketing is key to business success, and she’s a fan of great branding and catchy jingles. McDonald describes herself as very brand-loyal, which “made me want to be part of the process that creates those strong brand connections and relationships.”
