Greenberg’s Promotion Signals Aggressive Growth Trajectory of All Operating Brands

Huffman Family Brands, the parent company of Richard Huffman, Celebree School, Celebree Property Investment, the Huffman Family Foundation, Celebree Enterprise and Caliday School Age Programs, has promoted Allan Greenberg to chief financial officer. He previously served as the CFO of Celebree School and will now work closely with founder and CEO Richard Huffman on the development and execution of HFB’s strategic initiatives.

“This promotion is a testament to this company’s unwavering commitment to investing in its people,” Greenberg said. “Stepping into this role has been a key milestone in my personalized growth plan, aligning with our commitment of placing the right resources in the right positions. This strategy enables our team members across all brands to drive the tremendous growth ahead. I’m excited to continue this journey with our exceptional team, working together to elevate each of the brands under the HFB umbrella.”

Greenberg said his primary focus will be on the significant opportunities in all of HFB’s companies. “We are growing Celebree Property Investment, our real estate business, by four to five properties per year,” he said. “Working with Bob Scopinich, the new CFO of Celebree School, we expect to triple the number of total schools in a very short period of time. There are many outstanding people on all of our teams that will provide the energy and commitment to achieve all of these objectives.”

Greenberg added that he looks forward to continuing to work with Huffman, whom he views as a visionary and risk taker. “Richie drives each organization to reach its full potential,” Greenberg said. “He wants people to succeed. I have seen a lot of businesses in my career, but I have never seen an organization with such a robust investment cycle in its people. Much of that credit goes to Richie and our chief talent officer, Lisa Bricker.”

Huffman said utilizing the talents of leaders including Greenberg and Scopinich is essential to HFB’s growth strategy. “By ensuring each brand has financial leadership that aligns with our unified vision, we are empowering our teams to drive growth, innovation and operational excellence,” Huffman said. “These leaders are not only stewards of financial health but also pivotal in executing our strategic initiatives, ensuring that we are well positioned to achieve extraordinary results across our entire portfolio.”

Growing in Business

Greenberg’s background includes serving as CFO for Music & Arts Center and executive vice president of Guitar Center. He currently serves as a partner at The Links of Challedon, one of the most played golf courses in Mount Airy, Md.

Greenberg’s advice to franchisees and franchisors is to identify their business chokeholds. “Fix them. Break paradigms. Adjust policies. Always apply the principles of Kaizen in everything you do,” he said. “We can always find a better and more efficient way. Many organizations throw more people at a problem. Do that as a last option.”
